| | The ''Ascendancy'' served as one of the primary naval assets of Plagueis. Its firepower was considerable, but it was also quite versatile; this was bolstered by the added weaponry and equipment. As such, the ship played the role of a nexus when engaged in combat. In addition, the ''Ascendancy'' embarked a small ground force of battle droids. The droids were specially trained in boarding actions, serving to defend the vessel from any possible incursion. During planetary assault missions under the authority of House Ajunta Pall, the ''Ascendancy'' was tasked with the transport and deployment of the House's assigned ground unit. |

| The Ascendancy is a Nebula Star Destroyer under the jurisdiction of House Plagueis and its fleet, the Jusadih Naval Command, and now acts as the Flagship for the fleet. She was awarded to [[Clan Plagueis]] following the [[Ninth Great Jedi War]]: Unification, and has given Plagueis the edge on the Naval front.

| The “Ascendancy” was constructed under the guidance of the Republic Engineering Corporation with the original name of “The Delusion”, at their facility above Coruscant in the year 24 ABY. It was one of last known Nebula Star Destroyers to be constructed, with its intent being to join the Republic fleet in the early years of struggle against the Yuuzhan Vong.

| A year before the Yuuzhan Vong had made their crushing assault on the galaxy, the NSD “Delusion” was commissioned into the Republic fleet for defense purposes. In its first years of service it took part in several defenses of the inner core worlds and did not see much action. By 27 ABY, its Commanding Officer accepted a mission to the outer rim in hope to join the fight hands on, in order to hold back the terrifying Yuuzhan Vong. The Nebula Star Destroyer jumped into a slaughter, and was quickly outmatched by the Vong’s superior power. With no hyper drive, no communications or weapon systems, the "Delusion" was a shadow of it's former glory.

| During their few spare moments of life, a formation of ships jumped out of hyperspace into the region. Each bared unrecognisable codes, yet showing serious intent, as they powered up their forward weaponry. Although the Nebula Star Destroyer was crippled and badly damaged, it was still repairable. The Commander had come in contact with the Tarnis Enterprises, a pirate led organization which gave the ship and her crew two choices. Death or submit themselves to their cause.

| With no other choice, the NSD Delusion was captured and took deep into the outer-rim for repairs. It's known history from there was unavailable, all what was found was its change of name. “The Delusion” was no more and was renamed in the image of Tarnis. Nebula Star Destroyer “The Conspiracy”.

| The next time the vessel was seen was in the [[Jusadih System]], after the Tarnis Enterprise tried to shred some light to [[Clan Plagueis]] in a campaign called “[[Mirror Mirror]]”. Although for its superior defensive battle systems, the ship’s Captain was out smarted by Admiral [[Cethgus Kuga]], who led the defense against the “Conspiracy”. The Plagueis fleet quickly out fought the Nebula Star Destroyer, and succeed getting a boarding party within its hangar. Dark Jedi quickly fought their way through to the bridge and seized it into their own hands. The “Conspiracy” now belonged with Plagueis.

| In the epilogue to the battle, Consul [[Alaris Jinn]] over-watched the repairs for the ship., Then after long consideration by the Summit, the Nebula Star Destroyer was given a new name which would represent its new owners in a great manner. The NSD “Ascendancy” was born.
