The creature known as Umbra is the manisfestation of a Demon from Arcona's Shadow Plane. In 30 ABY, Shadowlord Mejas Doto summoned forth the demonic entity and provided it a vessel in the form of Shadesworn agent Talos Vyranius d'Tana, who had willingly agreed to the process. The identity of Talos was obliterated and replaced with the memories, powers, and needs of the Demon, transforming not only his mental outlook but also his physical appearance. Umbra is now the silent hand of Vorion, the Proconsul Emeritus, and stalks the Galaxy.
