The Antei Combat Center (ACC) houses the unique fiction-based dueling system of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. To get started in the Center, see the ACC Guide.

Rules of the Center

The ACC Guide contains all important information for getting started and participating in the ACC.

Joining the ACC

Further information: ACC Exams

Before members can participate in the Antei Combat Center, they must first prove their understanding of the rules by completing two Shadow Academy exams. The first exam, ACC Fundamentals, tests to ensure members grasp the basics and key concepts of what the ACC is about and how it works. It is a simple test comprised of X number of multiple choice questions and Y short answer. (since I've passed the exam, I can't view it anymore and therefore can't continue this sentence...)

The second exam is ACC Qualification. Qualification replaces the older practice of having a live test on the ACC site to determine if a member has a complete understanding of the mechanics. Instead, the exam provides the basis for two different scenarios involving NPC characters (with completed Character Sheets), and members are required to write both a starting post and a finishing post. Grading for the Qualification Exam is based on the actual Judging Guide and ACC Rubric.

After successfully completing both exams, members will have unlocked the ability to make use of the Antei Combat Center.

Overview of Judge position. What it entails, how it works.

Halls

Training Hall
The Training Hall is a unique Hall designed for members to practice at participating in the ACC and get pointers from more advances members or Judges. Because these matches are for training purposes, the Training Hall does not impact member ELO scores.

Duelist Hall
The Duelist Hall is the standard ACC Hall, where regular 1 vs. 1 duels are held between members. Most regular matches will take place in the Duelist Hall, as well as matches held for activity-based ladders. Matches played within this Hall affect ELO scoring.

Story Hall
The Story Hall is designed for cooperative storytelling, rather than versus matches. In the Story Hall, members write in tandem to tell a story rather than writing to defeat one another. As it is designed for cooperative events, ELO is not affected by Story Hall matches.

Competition Hall
The Competition Hall is a unique Hall that is designed for specific competitions. The typical ACC tournament is held in a bracket-style, single elimination tournament that requires participants to sign up prior to the event's start. The ACC site keeps track of the brackets and shows the advancement for the winner's of each round.

Info on requesting a Competition Hall tourney.* (I assume comps can be held)

ACC Staff

Main article: [[Combat Master|Combat Master]]

The Staff of the ACC consists of the Combat Master, who oversees the day-to-day operations of the Center on behalf of the Voice, and a selection of Judges who grade ACC Exams and judge completed matches. Aside from the Combat Master, staff positions are filled as needed, and positions may become available for application at any time.

At the bare minimum, ACC Judges must be Qualified members of the ACC and have a proven grasp of the mechanics of the ACC and the judging rubric. They should also show that they are capable of making impartial judgements, regardless of the participants of a match.

The current staff consists of:
