Darth Sarin, originally known as Aristan Dantes was a Sector Admiral in the Imperial Remnant, and is the 12th Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood. Born on the Imperial Citadel world of Sartinaynian, he was selected as part of COMPNOR's adolescent indoctrination program. Sarin was identified as having Force potential and was placed in an accelerated training program for prospective Dark Side Adepts.

Sarin spent the first twelve years of his life under the tutelage of COMPNOR before entering the Raithal Academy. At the age of sixteen he was given an early commission based on his Force abilities and took an assignment with the Emperor's Hammer.

Following his commission, Sarin rose quickly through the ranks of the Emperor's Hammer achieving a legendary reputation as the Commander of the Elite Avenger Squadron and as the Commodore of the Imperial Star Destroyer Grey Wolf. Known for his impressive ability to motivate and inspire through Battle Meditation, Sarin assumed command of the Emperor's Hammer combat operations and led his forces to multiple victories. These victories and his display of advanced Force techniques led to his dual appointment as Executive Officer and Sith High Warrior of the Emperor's Hammer.

Within months of his appointment, Sarin was able to identify the corruption and decay that had taken hold of the Emperor's Hammer. Utilizing his vast network of contacts, he planned his defection with the aid of the Grand Masters Cotelin and Firefox, along with Acxodim Pyralis.

Sarin assumed the mantle of Grand Master four years after rejoining the True Dark Brotherhood and continues to serve as the leader of the Brotherhood to this day.
