Lt. Commander Jeff Fausell was a young sensor officer serving aboard the Immobilizer 418-class Heavy Cruiser Charybdis. Jeff lost his life at the hands of Hand of the Empress Vincent Brujah. During battle he began to exclaim that Komilia Lap'lamiz was the best pilot he'd ever seen when she took out two X-wings and proceeded to drop a proton bomb on a third. He was cut off by Proconsul Brujah and warned that if he were to complete that thought he would be strangled by Brujah's bare hands.
Following Komilia's successful maneuver that positioned her TIE Bomber before a m50 strike cruiser's hangar, obliterating it and the six X-wings within, Jeff Fausell did complete his statement. Brujah calmly took off his gauntlets, walked over to the young sensor officer, and proceeded to choke the life out of him.
Childhood
Jeff Fausell was born in Caelestis City as part of the Meraxis Empire. At the age of 9 his father was killed during the conquest by Scholae Palatinae. His widowed mother was able to find work in a local bakery. The hours kept her away from her daughter, Laura Fausell, who was four years older than Jeff.

Laura took the role of caregiver to Jeff and would often him take him to the spaceport to watch the traffic of starships. Following the building of Adoniram Tower there was a constant flow of Imperial star cruisers and fighters patrolling the skies.
Laura would often joke when she saw a pilot do something particularly foolish, "That's the best pilot I've ever seen", which would bring delight to young Jeff.
Adolescence
Both Laura and Jeff were quickly enrolled in the newly established Imperial Schools under the Bureau of Imperial Academies. By age 16 Jeff had demonstrated an affinity for data terminals and sensor technology. He earned topped marks in identifying starships even in combat and minimal operating conditions, a by product of all the time his sister had spent with him observing the starport.
Laura, now age 20, had become a pilot working for the Bureau of Mine Efficiency piloting a mining shuttle from Albicosus to the Telgorn Corporation Repair Yard orbiting Myryakur. Jeff told her she was a better pilot than a ferrier. They quarreled on this point and did not speak for a month. Sadly, this was during the Civil War where the numerous factions on Seraph rebelled against Scholae Palatinae, Laura was killed when a bomb was placed aboard her mining shuttle.
Jeff mourned her and regretting his harsh words vowed to recognize and champion great pilots where ever he saw them.
Scholae Palatinae Service
Jeff was commissioned into the Imperial Scholae Navy and quickly raised through the rank. Whether a part of his skill or the depletion of forces following the Civil War he was quickly promoted to Lt. Commander and assigned to the Immobilizer 418-class Heavy Cruiser Charybdis.
He was known as a quiet and competent officer who had a habit of focusing the sensor scans that fed the tactical displays on pilots he found impressive. These simple gestures led to the advancement of several promising pilots that may otherwise have gone unnoticed. While he never sought recognition for this his fellow sensor crew members took notice and would tell the pilots whom would then leave small tokens of appreciation in Jeff's rack.
Attack on The Collective Raiders
The ISN Charybdis was assigned to Warlord Vincent Brujah to intercept raiders from The Collective which had been disrupting commerce from the Caperion System. Given the importance of the mission, Jeff was assigned to the bridge sensor controls despite his elevated rank. During the course of the operation Jeff witnessed the flying of Komilia Lap'lamiz, the daughter of former Emperor Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz. While Emperor Lap'lamiz's piloting prowess was well known, Komilia's was unexpected.
Jeff's breach of protocol by beginning to exclaim that she was the best pilot he'd even seen drew the ire of Warlord Brujah who, unknown to Jeff, had more than enough reason to be concerned with Komilia's behavior. Following the second, completed, outburst by Jeff Warlord Brujah saw fit to strangle the life from the Lt. Commander.
Funeral

Lt. Commander Jeff Fausell was cremated aboard the ISN Charybdis following the operation against The Collective. His body was placed within the regulation casket, holo images were captured for his mother, and then his ashes were ejected into space.
A low cost replica Scholae Palatinae flag was issued to his mother who, ignorant of the cause of her son's death, displayed it proudly in the bakery she continues to work at.
