History
During the Ninth Great Jedi War, the AGV Rival was destroyed in a trap set by Omancor Crask. The destruction of the Rival gave the Nightfall advanced warning, and evasive maneuvers were set in motion by Dark Brotherhood.

Role
The Agave-class picket Rival was employed by the Eighth Fleet's Task Force 63 as a reconnaissance vessel. As part of the Forsaken Strike Group, Rival would scout ahead of the main force to warn of impending threats.
