Kala Miros is a 43 year old Commander in the Dlarit Special Operations Group, and commands the Kangaras Division aboard the ENF Overseer. She is of average height with long dark hair usually worn up and has a cool and relaxed temperament.
History
Kala Miros was born in 15 BBY in the settlement of Anchorhead on Tatooine, and was the daughter of a droid trader and his wife, the latter dying of a fever shortly after Kala’s birth. She grew up on the streets and was a member of several juvenile gangs and became an accomplished pickpocket, and only by sheer luck managed to avoid the authorities on several occasions.
When her father died in 1 ABY in mysterious circumstances, which Kala privately suspected was related to local jawas who didn’t appreciate the competition in the droid market, she was left alone to fend for herself. Deciding she wanted a change of scenery, she stowed away on a transport to Mos Eisley, where she hoped continuing her dubious career in a larger settlement where she was not known would be more profitable. Unfortunately two days after she arrived she was caught in the act of stealing food from a stall by two stormtroopers and sent to the military stockade. Here like many inmates she was given a choice of execution or conscription. She chose the latter.
She was sent to Carida, where she was noted for her quick thinking and resourceful attitude, and scoring above average in examinations and routine intelligence testing. She eventually achieved a rank of corporal and was put in charge of supervision of a small munitions assembly team, where she remained for ten years through the break up of the Empire and the split into the Remnant, where she ended up under the forces of High Admiral Teradoc, doing much the same sort of role.
Her break came in 12 ABY, when Admiral Daala united the Imperial factions and the prejudice ended against non humans and females serving in the military. During the re-organisation of the Imperial forces her good record and test scores were noted and she was both surprised and delighted to receive a commission as an ensign at a tactical station aboard Victory Class Destroyer II Dark Fusion among those chose to join Colonel Kronus on his lightning distraction raids on outlying Republic worlds.
Following Daala’s defeat and resignation she remained at the same station, now as part of the unified forces under Admiral Pelleaon she cemented her position on the Dark Fusion, rising to the rank of Lieutenant and receiving consistant good reports from her superiors. By 22 ABY it was rumoured she would soon receive her first command as soon as a position became available, probably on the Dark Fusion itself whose aging Commander was due for retirement. However she was annoyed when the younger Lieutenant Neido became was promoted instead. She became to become disillusioned with the Remnant afterwards, though she did respect her new commander who was also a talented officer. A few y:ears later with several other officers she supported Commander Neido when he deserted and joined the force witch Anaxela. promoting Kala to Lieutenant Commander and his second in command aboard the Dark Fusion, both seeing the force user as someone who may lead them to the glory the Remnant had failed to.
When Anaxela allied herself with Darth Severak and his True Brotherhood in, bringing the Dark Fusion in as the floating base of the third faction, she happily served alongside Neido in her former position, becoming familiar with the Sith and their ways as she moved amongst them. Even after Severak’s death and disgrace she believed that Anaxela would lead them to glory.
Following the Invasion of Orian she was one of the officers aboard the Dark Fusion that agreed to serve Clan Naga Sadow and was drafted into the Dlarit Special Operations Group as a Commander, to make up for the shortage of experienced officers following the Battle of Antei. After discussions with Prefect Malisane de Ath she was given command of the ENF Overseer and the Kangaras Division of D:SOG, something which many officers considered a poor assignment being so far from Orian but a challenge which she enthusiastically accepted, and performs well there to this day.
