Rem Bachtan was a Dlarit Navy Lieutenant serving as captain of the Vibre-class Assault Cruiser Turmoil.
Biography
Rem Bachtan was the son of Senator Chelo from Gerrard V, a Core World. After the Senate was dissolved his father decided to start a family on Coruscant and that is where he was raised. He was surrounded by the Empire for most of his adolescent years and was indoctrinated into it's beliefs and way of life. Rem did not care much though about politics like his father, he was caught up more with the Imperial Navy and it's granduer. However, when the Empire was chased away from Coruscant his family stayed behind and his interest and work towards joining it's great navy faded, but the Dlarit Corporation had set up an office to further their interests in late 18 ABY and it was here that the young Rem was recruited and given his commission.
He started out in the heavy assault squadron designated Cerberus, an Assualt Gunboat unit. Over time he worked up to the position of Squadron Commander. This eventually ended up with Rem being rewarded with an appointment of command of a Vibre-class corvette as her Captain. In 28 ABY following the events of the Orian Invasion he was given command of the Turmoil.
