Template:NPC charinfo Commander Dal Hodezan serves as the current executive officer second-in-command to Captain Vorion aboard House Qel-Droma's flagship, the BAC Shadow, as well as standard officer of the Arcona Expeditionary Force. Hodezan is a native of Riflor and was born in 11 BBY.

Character History

Birth and Early Life

Dal Hodezan was born on the planet Riflor, one of the last generation to be born there. Dal was part of a small middle-class family, with two older brothers. Dal Hodezan Sr. was an engineer, and his wife was a stay at home mom. Dal's brothers, Dak and Daj grew up to become engineers as well. However, Dal always hated his father's work, and was instead fascinated by the soldiers he saw occasionally when he went out to the big cities with his father. He swore, at the age of seven, that he would grow up to become a soldier himself.

He left the planet to attend a military academy on Coruscant in 7 ABY, at the age of 18. He stayed at the academy for four years, until 11 ABY. At this point, he worked as a mercenary, and eventually found himself serving alongside mercenaries from the Emperor's Hammer Imperial Remnant. Dal asked to join the Remnant, and was accepting into their ranks in 16 ABY. He spent three years climbing the ranks of the Remnant, before he made the decision to accompany a few of his friends with the Dark Brotherhood when they split from the Emperor's Hammer.

Arcona Expeditionary Force

Dal started out as a navigational officer on the M/STRKC Eye of the Abyss, serving there for quite a few years. From 21 ABY to 27 ABY he served as the primary navigational officer, building a reputation for consistency and ability as well as many friends in the military. In 27 ABY, when the Eye of the Abyss was destroyed, he was transferred to the BAC Shadow in the Expeditionary Force, where he served as navigational officer once more. He had scarcely been aboard the Shadow for a year when the executive officer was transferred to a ship in the defense fleet.

Ascent to Commander

When the position of executive officer was opened, there were many officers eligible for the position. However, Dal was the most logical choice due to his extended service alongside the Dark Brotherhood, close friendship with the executive officer of the BAC Darkest Night, and skill as a navigational officer and leader in the Expeditionary Fleet. So, Dal was brought before the Proconsul, where he was promoted to the position of commander in the fleet and executive officer of the BAC Shadow.

Dal has now been serving for three years as executive officer.

Personality

Dal is a strict officer, but in reality quite informal when off-duty. When in combat, the commands come sharply and frequently, but when the Shadow sinks back into its routine the executive officer is seen to be a content and relaxed man who is quick to take up a idle conversation with his soldiers. Gruff and surly at times, there are several officers who don't take a liking to his strict adherence to protocol and brisk commands, but his razor-keen leadership ability is unparalleled and his authority unquestioned.
