Darth Fallax is an ancient Dark Lord of the Sith. Since his original body’s death at the hands of his apprentice in 3533 BBY, he has had several other host bodies, most recently that of Scholae Palatinae Consul Xen’Mordin Vismorsus. He is the head of the Order of the New Dawn, a radical cult devoted to bringing his dark influence across the galaxy once again.

Character History

Early Life

Darth Fallax’s early life and planet of origin remains a mystery. What details that are shared with his Order of the New Dawn are most certainly lies given directly by Darth Fallax to further his follower’s blind devotion.

Adulthood

The lightsaber that killed Darth Fallax

Polis Jones, head of the Cocytus Historical Society, has been able to find pieces of information regarding the life, death, and subsequent possession of host bodies over the millennia. Fallax’s reign as a Dark Lord of the Sith was limited to a small corner of the Galaxy. He managed to take control of a handful of systems beyond the boundaries of what is currently known as Hutt Space, including the Cocytus System. He trained dozens of apprentices, and provided further basic force training to his sizable military. Fallax was killed in combat by one of his apprentices in 3533 BBY, and the small Empire he had begun to foster collapsed within the span of two years. The apprentice that killed him was dead within that same time frame, and buried in his own temple, which was later discovered by Xen’Mordin, who had his own force connection reestablished, and took the apprentice’s lightsaber as his own.

The Spirit

Fallax was sustained by his stubborn will and refusal to cease his efforts, even in death. His spirit was sustained in the many holocrons he had left behind. It would be centuries before the first of his followers would be born and discover the draw Fallax had. Some were willing, others not, but through the years Fallax had dozens of host bodies. All were consumed by the power of his spirit, never lasting longer than a handful of years before the corruption rendered the body useless. While not possessing a host body, Fallax was able to communicate directly with his followers, as long as they were in close proximity to one of his holocrons. He was able to use them to build a small fortune and a small, but dedicated order whose sole purpose was to find a way to get him a permanent body once more.

Scions of Cocytus

Darth Fallax’s followers eventually met a man named Fias Zhan. Zhan himself was a fanatic, not as a follower of Fallax, but that of the belief he was the true successor to Emperor Palpatine. Fallax used this fanatic obsession to his benefit, financing Zhan in his efforts to take over the Cocytus System. Had Zhan been successful, he would have proven himself as a strong enough Force user to handle the strain of housing Fallax’s spirit. When Zhan failed, Fallax ordered his followers to take a different route, leaving a recently created holocron on Antenora to be found by the Clan who called the system home.

The Emperor

Fallax’s possession of Xen’Mordin was a slow process. Xen foolishly believed due to the age of the holocron that it must have belonged to Emperor Palpatine, and kept it hidden away for himself and regular study from. Fallax manipulated Xen’s actions into turning his members against each other, and then against the clan’s ally, Clan Naga Sadow. Taking full control of Xen’s body, Fallax sent the entirety of the Clan to Aesirus under the false pretense of expanding the empire. Once on Aesirus, Fallax attempted to kill the entire clan by burying them alive in the vast cave system of the planet. Xen’Mordin took control of his body for a final time, long enough to prevent Fallax from killing his clan members. Fallax, believing the clan was stranded on the planet, turned his focus on completing his goals in the Cocytus system, now in full control of the Emperor’s body. A body which is corrupting like his previous hosts and slowly dying. Fallax has forced Dr. Elincia Rei and a team of scientists to find a way to reverse this effect.

Personality

Darth Fallax is cruel, intelligent, and utterly without mercy. For millennia his sole goal has been finding a suitable host to possess. Now with a body to call his own once again, he has brought his followers and disciples into the Cocytus system to once again begin the work of spreading his influence on the entire Galaxy.

Abilities

Darth Fallax is a high elder level force user. He is not to be underestimated in his abilities.
