The Shadow Academy is the primary training facility for new members of the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi. At the Shadow Academy, new Apprentices will be trained by more powerful Dark Jedi in the ways of the Force as they begin their journey toward the Dark Side.
Membership - Joining the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi and enrolling in the Shadow Academy are an inseparable pair of actions. All applicants, upon being accepted by the Master At Arms and formally inducted into the Brotherhood as an Apprentice by the Grand Master, are transported to the Shadow Academy where they must partake in formal training. This training focuses on instructing Apprentices in the basic structure and purpose of the Dark Brotherhood, and preparing them to become active members of it. All new members are assigned an Envoy to guide them through this process. Eventually they will be added to the Clan their Envoy is a member of.
Upon completion of the Test of Lore, one gains elevation to Apprentice and is automatically assigned to a Clan. Once this is done, the Apprentice is allowed to take up physical residence with their Clan; their membership in the Brotherhood is solidified and the Apprentice's continued growth and development is overseen by the House Summit and Clan Summit.
After graduation from the Shadow Academy, a larger selection of courses become available to the new member of the Dark Brotherhood, including the Order Studies courses and other General Studies courses, which focus on instructing members in the skills necessary and helpful to complete assignments typical of the Brotherhood.
