Teikhos Seleukides is a male Zeltron Jedi of Odan-Urr. Teikhos grew up on Zeltros, but spent his early twenties bouncing between several short-lived odd jobs. In 33 ABY, Jedi Knight Edgar Drachen brought him to New Tython to train under Clan Odan-Urr.

Character History

Before the Jedi {9–33 ABY}

Teikhos had a fairly uneventful childhood on his people's homeworld, Zeltros. By his early teens, his daily life consisted of half-hearted study for entrance to the New Republic military academy and chasing after tourist girls.

Clan Odan-Urr {33 ABY–Present}

While chasing his first bounty, Teikhos met and befriended Jedi Knight Edgar Drachen of Clan Odan-Urr. Teikhos returned with him to Seher on New Tython, where he trained in the Force under the guidance of House Satele Shan. He excelled in many aspects of his training, including academic study and lightsaber training, but had difficulty reconciling the restrictive serenity of the Jedi Code with his personality and life experience. During this time Teikhos took a hard line attitude towards freeing captured Sith who had been enslaved by the Seherob, and helped the Sith Lyra Sann escape without the knowledge or approval of his clan. Sann slew her master in the escape using Teikhos' lightsaber, and the Jedi helped her destroy evidence of his involvement.

Towards the end of his training, Teikhos was assigned to Strike-Team Ooroo under the command of Jafits Skrumm. House Shan's summit believed that Ooroo's focus on direct action would provide a useful outlet for Teikhos.

Description

Appearance

Teikhos is tall and lean, with long, wavy, very dark blue hair, indigo eyes, and the red skin typical of Zeltrons. He usually sports an impish grin and a twinkle in his eye. He generally wears his hair tied back; if he doesn't, it tends to all end up in his face regardless of how many times he attempts to tuck it behind his ears. His face is long and lean, with cheekbones you could cut glass on. He keeps clean-shaven religiously as his facial hair grows in thin and patchy.

Teikhos takes pains to ensure an immaculate appearance at almost all times. His boots are polished, his clothing perfectly kept and coordinated, and his hair, skin, and nails are all pampered and tidy. He tends to favor shades of black, blue, violet, and gray for his clothes, and has a fondness for dramatic capes that billow impressively out behind him when he moves.

Personality

Teikhos share as (usually) mutual admiration for the fairer sex. He falls all over himself in his attempts to charm, impress, or woo any female humanoid he encounters. How chivalrous or prurient his motivations are depends heavily on the attractiveness and attentiveness of said female, but there are almost always elements of both. He's prone to over the top gestures of chivalry such as bowing and kissing hands, which he occasionally — and unsuccessfully — tries to play off as ironic. Although his zealous dedication to romance tends to get him into trouble, he is more a gentleman than a scoundrel at heart and scrupulously avoids taking advantage of intoxication or Mind Trick to lure in partners who might otherwise turn him down. Teikhos usually has enough sense to avoid succumbing to women who are attempting to kill him.

A follower of the Living Force, Teikhos has little patience for navel gazing. He strongly believes in intervening to do good regardless of the personal consequences. Indeed, he has an almost pathological need to make a difference in the lives of others. While this is noble on the face of it, this habit stems from Teikhos' deep-seated to impress others. Although this frequently results in successful acts of genuine heroism, it may only be a matter of time before he gets himself or someone else killed in a reckless attempt to save the day.

Despite his flippant attitude, Teikhos takes many aspects of the Jedi teachings very seriously. Whenever possible, he attempts to preserve life. He aims to inflict superficial wounds, escalating only as necessary to end the fight. He rarely kills an opponent that could be merely injured, and will take pains to make sure any survivors of the battle end up in a safe location, or at least outside of any immediate danger.

The result is an unsettling mixture of efficient and insatiable bloodlust and gratuitously feminine devotion to her master. QT attends to his every perceived need—such as destroying ugly clothes or warding off women who are only interested in his body—with extreme prejudice. In addition to her sensual voice and somewhat disturbing enthusiasm for viscera, she is particularly fond of children and cute animals.
