Darien Phoenix was a Dlarit Navy Surface Commander at the rank of Major aboard the VSDII Orian Legacy.

Early Life

Darien Phoenix was born Dardue'dai'Phelloc on his homeworld of Devaron. His entire life was revolved around the Empire. When he was a child he felt he was always left out among other Devish children. Unbeknownst to him, he carried an inept ability with the Force. He was able to excel in all his schoolwork but always felt left out. That's why at the age of 19, left his home world in search of a military life.

Joining the Dlarit Navy

Phoenix spent a year trying to apply for an officer position in the Empire. Because of the prejudice against other species, he left for another planet in search of an offer. He became a mercenary for a time, but that ended shortly when he found out the Dlarit Navy offered him a job. He accept and was immediately sent out for training. For the next couple of years, he was working his way in rank. At the age of twenty-five, he had been promoted to the rank of captain. He then moved on working as a commander of a company.

The Truth Behind the Dlarit Navy

After his promotion to captain, he was then promoted to the rank of major and became a surface commander. He was then assigned aboard the ship known as Orian Legacy. Once he returned from missions, he met with a man waiting at the dock. He was a commander in the Dlarit Navy but had a sense to him the Phoenix did not know of. His inexperience in Force gave him only the ability to see the dark side. He found out later that the navy was controlled by a group of Dark Jedi known as the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Force Training

Even though he was inept in his abilities with the Force, he was able to learn some powers from a Dark Jedi aboard Orian Legacy. His powers included healing and telepathy. He would also begin to learn battle meditation but would not be able to use it since he has not received proper training.

Mercenary Life

Prior to joining the Dlarit Navy, he had became a mercenary. He took up many jobs and sent half his credits to his parents back on Devaron. He was once attacked by a Jedi Knight who referred to himself only as Rav. He lost both him left arm and right eye. Now, his strength is increased by about double and his eyesight improved too. The prosthetic eye had night vision, thermal vision, and allows him to magnify his sight by tenfold.
