Seef Lacap was a female Yuuzhan Vong from the Priest caste and a High Priestess at the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War. She served as a religious advisor to Varesh Shai onboard Varesh's Uro-ik v'alh battleship, Yammka's Sword. Seef was also a member of the powerful Order of Yun-Yuuzhan, and thus one of the few other than the Supreme Overlord himself who communicated directly with the Creator God himself. Like many seers, she was often known to bathe herself in black Yuuzhan Vong blood, using it to paint herself with ritual tattoos.
When Warmaster Nas Choka announced the death of the Supreme Overlord and ordered all Yuuzhan Vong forces to surrender, Seef threw her support behind Varesh's decision to ignore Nas's orders and instead withdraw into deep space. While not necessarily as confident in Shimrra's survival as the newly self-proclaimed Warmaster, Seef was in agreement that the gods would not have forsaken their Chosen Race. Indeed, Seef was privately confident that when Varesh finally accepted the fact the Supreme Overlord was dead, then he would perhaps be worthy of replacing Shimrra as the next leader of the Yuuzhan Vong. Nevertheless, Seef kept her thoughts private, leading to several disputes with Tsaak Shai, Varesh's warrior-seer, who was dubious of the ability of an "ordinary" priest to interpret the will of Yun-Yammka, believing it was a job for a warrior. Still, in public Seef anointed the new Warmaster as khattazz al'Yun, or Avatar of the Gods, in hopes of preparing him for his eventual ascension to full lordship of the Chosen Race.
Despite Seef's hopes for the new Warmaster, she remained uncomfortable with the heresy in his midst. Varesh's allies from Domain Amnan, chief among them Tolok Amnan, had corrupted several Jeedai to the True Way and assigned them to their Domain's vessels in much the same way as Shimrra's Jeedai, the Slayers, had been in the final year of the war. Seef still believed the heresy that brought about the Slayers' creation was what brought the gods' judgment down upon Shimrra in the first place, and so she strongly counselled Varesh to condemn Tolok for his actions. However, while Varesh shared Seef's disgust with the presence of the Jeedai throughout the Amnan fleet, he refused to go as far as to sacrifice Tolok for his heresy, stating that they would need Domain Amnan's continued support if they were to crush the Jeedai who had shamed them and regain favor with the Yun'o. In this respect, Seef again clashed with Tsaak Shai who supported Varesh's position, ruling Yun-Yammka would understand the needs of war.
