A battle team in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, serving House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow.

History
The history of the Jade Serpents can be drawn back to before the Dark Jedi Brotherhood was founded, all the way back to 10 BBY. The history begins with a small group of mercenaries on the planet Concord Dawn. The local gangs were continually attacking a rural farming village. Whether for combat training or to please their sick and twisted humor, the village’s children did not know. All they knew was that they could not eat many nights because the evil Gang Leader Grogg, a Gammorian, charred their cropland, or that they couldn’t spend time with their fathers because he had to replant all of the lost plants.

History
Nevertheless, the Grogg attacks continued over the years. Even as the children of the village grew into strapping young men, the raids never ceased. The anti-Grogg sentiment in the town was strong. Finally, all of the male children had had enough. Now grown men, they bonded together and became a murderous gang. Their goal was to eliminate every one of Grogg’s gang members they saw. They became vigilantes in their hometown, and were regarded as heroes.
The Jade Serpents Battle team was originally the Krath battle team for House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow. Originally known as the Night Death Phyle it was started by Robert Daragon during his time as Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh. Following his term, Mononoke "Macron" Keibatsu-Goura stepped up as Quaestor changing the name to the Jade Serpents.

DJB Facts
Over time, they transformed from the valiant defenders of their homeland into a mercenary group. The five men from a farming town became submerged into the criminal underworld, killing for hire. All they had were low-quality blaster pistols and a basic set of armor, but they soon became feared throughout Concord Dawn and its criminal groups. They were the most revered mercenaries in the entire planet, and people spoke of them as such.

Identity
One day, a young Dark Jedi was on a reconnaissance mission to Concord Dawn. While taking a break and having a drink at a small tavern, he heard the hushed whispers about the respected criminal gang. Upon returning to his home in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Kharon Daragon reported his findings to the summit. Per his authority as Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh, he founded a battle team named after the highly feared group from Concord Dawn. He named his battle team the Night Death Phyle.
The Jade Serpents Battle Team has developed into a premier force of Clan Naga Sadow, being dispatched for a variety of missions in the service of the Clan. Their swift, decisive, and efficient actions when conducting maneuvers led rise to their being known as the 'Winds of Death', as they often move as one with practiced, precise actions, leaving little trace of their passing.

Upon indoctrination into the Jade Serpents, a prospective member is issued a small ring of jade and durasteel construction with intertwined serpents displayed. The Ring is worn on any finger and serves as a reminder that their fate is interconnected, not only to themselves, but to the House, Clan, and Dark Brotherhood itself.  The ring is also used as a mystical key to several resources reserved for the Jade Serpents.
The team, as with its namesake, quickly became notorious throughout Clan Naga Sadow. Even though starting out with the basic goal of proficiency in hand-to-hand combat and basic weapon skills, they evolved into the best special operations unit in the clan. When Mononoke "Macron" Keibatsu-Goura became Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh he changed the name of the battle team to the Jade Serpents. This is unknown.

The Jade Serpents continue to hold up this mantle to this very day. Under the leadership of Krandon Rowella, the team is prospering and carries out the will of the Dark Council and summit of Clan Naga Sadow.

Additionally, the Tetrarch trains the team members in esoteric combat techniques, utilizing bladed weapons, silent projectiles, and the like. The exposure to such techniques gives the Jade Serpents team member the freedom to choose their own weaponry in which to specialize as prospective leaders; the disciplined manner in which the training is conducted can be likened to meditation, which gives the members a means to focus their unbridled rage, giving them more control over their Force Powers as Dark Side users.

This is used to identify a Jade Serpents member, as well as a constant reminder that when you are considered a Jade Serpent, you are and forever will be a Jade Serpent.
