| | ===Formation=== |
| | In early 38 ABY, Khryso Mallus, a Sith of Clan Plagueis, was looking for a way to raise his net worth. The pay he received for his work with the Clan was easily enough to support him, but he had designs for a much more opulent lifestyle that would require more capital. So, after brainstorming and researching what kinds of options were available to him, the Sith came across an older, but still functioning, mining facility that was being sold off. Deciding this was as good a place as any to start, Khryso bought the facility. Despite his aspirations, the Chiss was not particularly versed in the ways of business and he didn't have the time to run the facility himself. Allowing the supervisor of the mine to continue overseeing its operation, Khryso sought out someone who could help him make the mine profitable. |
| | |
| | Reaching out to some of his contacts in the Clan, Khryso requested assistance in searching out someone who could help him run the mine profitably. Several names and candidates passed over his desk and Khryso interviewed a handful of them before settling on a Skakoan businessman by the name of Sallo Wur. Sallo accepted the position and the two began working together to make the mine a success. With the goal of expansion on the horizon, Sallo advised Khryso that forming a company that could manage the mine and its business was a good idea. So, Khryso pulled together what resources he could and created Falger Mining Company, named after Tim Falger, the man who had helped care for his mother after his father had died. |
| | |
| | Over the course of the next few weeks, Sallo and Khryso worked to put the company's infrastructure into place and make it operational. Khryso named Sallo the Administrator of the company, allowing the Skakoan to run the day-to-day minutiae of the business, leaving Khryso more time for his work with Plagueis. Together, they secured their first client and Falger Mining Company was off to a great start. |
| | |
| | ===Humble Beginnings=== |
| | |
| | The first mining facility under the company's ownership was dubbed the "Aliso Coastal Mine". It worked well enough, with most of its previous staff having stayed on. Khryso allocated enough funds to the company to allow them to begin buying slaves to replace missing workers, but there was a reason the mine had been on the market. It produced results, but took its time. Turning a profit would not be easy with this facility alone. Nonetheless, Sallo was able to continue bringing clients in with varying degrees of success and the company was slowly moving towards being in the black. Sallo purchased a small office in Aliso City from which he could run the business without having to be at its more remote location. Despite the slow roll of those first couple months, Khryso was feeling positive about the company and still held regular meetings with Sallo. |
| | |
| | In mid-38 ABY Khryso, having recently dug up some personal history, focused his attention heavily on the company to distract himself. It was during this time that he bought a second facility, the Aliso Deepsea Mine. This facility was even more remote than the first, however, it's higher price was reflected in its higher production power. It was roughly the same size as the first facility, but its more advanced design and technology made it much more efficient. The purchase of this second facility prompted a small boom in progress, securing more contracts and, although none of them were particularly big, moving the company even closer to being in the black. With Khryso now stationed on Aliso, he was able to work more closely with Sallo over the next few months until, eventually, they managed to secure their biggest and most significant client yet: the Valneikian hive. |
| | |
| | The new relationship with the hive and Khryso's subsequent promotion to Aedile of House Tyranus had things looking up for the company as it broke even for the first week since its formation. His new responsibilities forced Khryso to once again step back from heavy involvement in the company, but Sallo continued forging ahead, hoping to capitalize on the success that they were experiencing. With the assistance of Khryso's new station's influence, Sallo was able to leverage the company's dealings with the Valneikian hive to create FMC's largest facility yet: the Aliso Mountain Mine. Co-owned by both Falger Mining Company and the Valneikian Hive, the facility was worked by both parties and its profits and bounties would be split between the two. The sheer size of the new mine and the prestige of partnering on such an endeavor with the hive helped to establish Falger Mining Company with firmity. |

| | ===Departmentalization=== |
| | |
| | With the new influx of product and business, Sallo thought that centralizing their capital to a degree would be valuable. The remoteness of their various facilities was starting to make things complex. So, he set about securing the purchase of a large warehouse in Aliso City into which their product could be shipped from the more temporary holdings at the mines. He spared no expense in making sure the facility was secure and operating at peak efficiency. Despite the recent uptick in business, the massive investments as of late had left the company with little in the way of profits. So, once the warehouse was ready, Sallo decided to spend his time refining the company's operations and focusing on building their capital back. Expansion took a back seat until they could once again build up their coffers to a comfortable level. |
| | |
| | Roughly a year later, Khryso stepped down from his leadership role within House Tyranus. While the Sith Lord didn't yet return to an active role in the company, Sallo decided it was a good opportunity to resume FMC's expansion. He purchased some land in the far north he had been considering and began construction of a large facility to access some of the riches beneath the ice that his surveyors had reported on. |
| | |
| | At this point, the company had grown to a large enough size that Sallo was beginning to stretch himself a bit thin managing the entire operation. So, he decided it was time to compartmentalize the company’s work structure to accommodate its growing infrastructure and operations and help guide it to even further advancement. Sallo initially created the Falger Mining Company Shipping Division, also known as FMC Shipping, to oversee the transportation of their product and assets both between the company’s various holdings and to and from customers and vendors. He sought out a former senior member of the Saraask'ar, Pakru Nocretch, who was experienced in shipping to lead the department. |
| | |
| | After that, Sallo created a new department, the Falger Mining Company Operations Management Team, to directly oversee the various Mine Supervisors and manage the mining operations. Wanting someone familiar with how the company already operated, Sallo promoted Arriadon Sheddir, the Supervisor of the Deepsea Mine Facility, to Chief of Mine Ops. For the foreseeable future, Sallo would be very closely monitoring the Mine Ops department, as that was central to their continued success. |
| | |
| | With the signing of the Cantonica Accords, Sallo was a bit caught off guard. Fortunately, FMC was not hugely reliant on slave labor, but they did lose a portion of their workforce in the aftermath of the Accords. This allowed Sallo to implement something he had been planning for a while, however; a more droid-focused production line. To that end, Sallo created the Falger Mining Company Droid Engineering Corps, commonly known as FalDec. To oversee FalDec, Sallo brought in an associate of his from Skako, one Ros Dro. FalDec was given the task of optimizing and maintaining FMC’s current droid workforce while facilitating the outfitting of new facilities for droid labor and overseeing the transition of open positions to mechanization. |
| | |
| | Only a few months later, FalDec would begin construction on the first facility planned to be entirely droid operated, the Aliso South Sea Mine. The success or struggles of this particular facility would provide an important blueprint for the company going forward. |
| | |
| | ===Recent History=== |
| | |
| | With a more complex management structure, Sallo needed to expand FMC’s base of operations to accommodate. Purchasing a second warehouse adjacent to the current Aliso City Warehouse, Sallo began construction of a small campus area that would facilitate the company’s needs, including a small office building for their managerial personnel and some dormitories. The original warehouse was made the headquarters for FMC Shipping while the second was made the headquarters for FalDec. If they continued growing, it wouldn’t be long before they would need to expand their holdings again, but credits weren’t unlimited and Sallo knew the company would need some time to recover before additional major changes could be made. |

| | ==Departments== |
| | ===Falger Mining Company Shipping Division=== |
| | The Falger Mining Company Shipping Division, officially abbreviated as FMC-SD and more commonly known as FMC Shipping is a department within the Falger Mining Company. FMC Shipping’s primary objectives include transportation of product between facilities, delivery of product to customers, importing materials, ferrying personnel between locations, and warehouse oversight. Most of their drivers and loaders are droids while most of the upper level management and logistical staff are sentient beings. FMC Shipping is based in the FMC Shipping Warehouse in Aliso City and has a small fleet of transport ships and speeders to facilitate their work. They are managed by a Department Chief. |
| | ===Falger Mining Company Droid Engineering Corps=== |
| | The Falger Mining Company Droid Engineering Corps, officially abbreviated as FMC-DEC and commonly known as FalDec, is a department within Falger Mining Company. FalDec’s primary objectives include droid maintenance and operations, facility mechanization, and some general mechanical and engineering work. While all of the departments work together to some degree to ensure the smooth operation of the company, FalDec is more involved with the others than most due to their purview over droids within all levels of FMC. Their workforce is primarily composed of engineers, mechanics, laborers, programmers, and droid experts; they also have a support staff of droids. They are headquartered in the FalDec Workshop in Aliso City. They are managed by a Department Chief. |
| | ===Falger Mining Company Operations Managament Team=== |
| | Falger Mining Company Operations Management Team, officially abbreviated as FMC-OMT and commonly known as Mine Ops, is a department within Falger Mining Company. Mine Ops’ primary objectives include overseeing the operation and production of the various mining facilities owned by FMC. They work closely with FMC’s Administrator to ensure there are no hiccups within the system and the company’s operations move smoothly. A smaller staff that is mostly focused on logistics and management, they are mostly composed of sentient beings and are headquartered in the FMC Business Center in Aliso City. They are managed by a Department Chief. |

| | ===FMC Headquarters=== |
| | FMC Headquarters is a small campus area located nearby the D & D Construction Yards in Aliso City. On the campus are four separate buildings: FMC Business Center, FalDec Workshop, FMC Shipping Warehouse, and the FMC Dormitory. |
| | =====FMC Business Center===== |
| | The FMC Business Center is a small office building five stories high located in the front of the FMC Headquarters. This is where Falger Mining Company Operations Management Team as well as the higher ranked FMC staff members work. Within this building are extensive communication and monitoring stations that allow Mine Ops to manage and control the various FMC mining facilities. This is also where any meetings and business deals with potential customers take place, as well as any internal meetings or workshops. It can be seen as the brain of the Falger Mining Company. This is one of the few locations on the campus where non-employees are allowed, but there is still a fair amount of security. The Administrator works out of this location, as well as the FMC-OMT Department Chief. |
| | =====FalDec Workshop===== |
| | Originally a small warehouse, the FalDec Workshop has been repurposed to serve as a massive workshop and laboratory for FalDec. Inside, there are a massive variety of workstations and equipment for all manner of engineering and mechanical tasks, as well as massive server banks and computers. At any given time of day, there will be engineers, mechanics, programmers and droids toiling away to keep the various mechanized aspects of FMC moving. |
| | =====FMC Shipping Warehouse===== |
| | The FMC Shipping Warehouse is a large warehouse, divided into two main areas: the garage and the storage facility. The garage houses a small fleet of speeders and ships to transport ores, materials, product, personnel, or whatever the company needs moved. The storage facility stores all of those said ores, materials, and products when they are not in use or being sold. At any given time of day, there will be anywhere from a single ship to a half-dozen speeders leaving or arriving at the FMC Shipping Warehouse. With all of the constant traffic to and from this building, as well as the valuables within, it is the most heavily secured structure on campus. Several layers of identity confirmation are required to access the interior and FalDec programmers have but extra-secure hacking protections on the various driver and transport droids. |
| | =====FMC Dormitory===== |
| | The FMC Dormitory is several stories high, and functions as a home away from home for those FMC employees looking to avoid a commute. Although it is not heavily populated at the moment, as the accommodations are not very extravagant, it was built with the future and potential company growth in mind. |

| | ===Aliso Coastal Mine=== |
| | A doonium mine that is off the coast of Aliso's primary continent. Most of the mine is underwater and it is fully self-sufficient and capable of independent operation. A mixture of members of the Willing and mining droids work in the mine facility extracting and processing doonium which is then sold through Falger Mining Company. Direct management of the mine is left to the Supervisor, a Weequay named Kurrokk Glersi and his staff. |
| | ===Aliso Deepsea Mine=== |
| | A doonium mine several hundred kilometers from the coast, this facility is rooted firmly on the seafloor and is accessible via a turbolift tower and submarine. It is a fully self-sufficient facility and capable of independent operation. The mine is mostly staffed by droids, with a few members of the Willing working in management and logistics. It's primary product is doonium, which it mines from Aliso's crust and is managed through Falger Mining Company. |
| | ===Aliso Mountain Mine=== |
| | A mine focused on the extraction of various mineral substances located a handful of kilometers north of the Valneikian hive, this facility is located inside a mountain range. Falger Mining Company's largest facility yet, it is overseen by Supervisor Kizon Sec. The mine is staffed primarily by droids and Geonosian workers, as the Valneikian hive was central in the founding of this facility and co-owns it. Most of the resources extracted by this mine are directly claimed by the Valneikian hive. |
| | ===Aliso Tundra Mine=== |
| | A facility located near the north pole of Aliso, focused on drilling underneath the massive ice sheets there to extract the minerals found within and beneath. The facility is extremely remote and so is mostly left to its own devices, only occasionally making massive supply runs to and from Aliso City to deliver their product and supply the facility. The facility is managed by Supervisor Telrak Losk. It is primarily staffed by droids and hired staff of the Willing. The facility is large but mostly operates on a skeleton crew. |
| | ===Aliso South Sea Mine=== |
| | The Aliso South Sea Mine is a mining facility located in the sea several hundred kilometers south of Aliso City. While it is still under construction, when complete, it is meant to be the first fully mechanized and droid operated mining facility under FMC’s ownership. Currently, it is occupied by a cluster of FalDec workers and droids. |

| | ==Personnel== |
| | ===Administrator Sallo Wur=== |
| | The Administrator of Falger Mining Company is a male Skakoan by the name of Sallo Wur. An upstanding member of the Plagueis Willing, Sallo was selected after a somewhat brief but invasive search by Khryso and his associates. He was selected for his no-nonsense approach to the job, wanting only to keep the business running at peak efficiency without being overly ambitious or inventive. He also had some experience in the business sector that would be vital to keeping the company afloat, given Khryso's lack of experience in that area. Sallo also brought his own network of contacts and associates along with him to help get Falger Mining Company off the ground. Khryso leaves most of the day-to-day decision making to Sallo while the Administrator will contact the Sith should any major decisions or conflicts need to be dealt with. |
| | |
| | ===FMC-OMT Department Chief Arriadon Sheddir=== |
| | Arriadon Sheddir is a young, ambitious human woman who wanted to make a name for herself. Her father worked hard in menial labor, earning himself a weakened body and strained mind as he entered his senior years, and she would like to avoid that fate entirely. Not long after acquiring degrees in engineering and business, she was hired by Sallo Wur to manage the newly acquired Aliso Deepsea Mine. She will do whatever it takes to make the mine operate efficiently and without flaw, hoping to move up to a more lucrative and secure position in short order. She is not from Aliso, so while she is less familiar with Clan Plagueis than most, she is working hard to make a name for herself and earn a comfortable life for her and her family. |
| | |
| | A few years after Sheddir was hired, The Administrator created the Falger Mining Company Operations Management Team division of FMC, also known as Mine Ops. Looking to hire someone who was already familiar with the company’s operations to head this new department, the Administrator had taken note of Sheddir’s hard work and dedication. He selected the former Supervisor to become Department Chief of Mine Ops. Sheddir began working closely with the Administrator in this new position, eager to prove herself. |
| | ===FMC-SD Department Chief Pakru Nocretch=== |
| | A Trandoshan, and former member of the Saraask’ar, Pakru sports an intimidating visage. A large, bulky frame, blood red-tinted scales, and a trio of scars slashed horizontally across his face, as a former slaver the Trandoshan has a fierce reputation. Despite what you might expect, he is not a particularly tyrannical boss. He is firm, straightforward, and doesn’t take kindly to weakness, but he acknowledges those who work hard and rewards those who deserve it. Working decades in the transportation of unruly prisoners and slaves, he is used to hazardous and unruly cargo, so he sees this as a cushy retirement job. Nonetheless, he has no intention of letting his edge slip, even if that edge is being put more towards business rather than villainy. |
| | ===FMC-DEC Department Chief Ros Dro=== |
| | Ros Dro is a Skakoan droid engineer, having had his hands in several small-time droid-related business enterprises over his fifty years of life. He has always had a passion for tinkering, first and foremost, but at the urging of an old friend, one Sallo Wur, he also took the time to learn the basics of business and management. He would have liked to be at the head of his own massive droid empire one day, full of his unique creations, but he didn’t have a head for finances and always quickly found himself in the red. He lucked out, however, when his old friend Sallo contacted him about a high-profile job. Ros wasn’t a fan of hand-outs, and the job wasn’t exactly up his alley, but between the paycheck and the presence of an old friend, he couldn’t say no. For now, his more inventive tendencies would have to become a hobby as he focused on learning how to run FalDec effectively. |
| | ===Supervisor Kurrokk Glersi=== |
| | Kurrokk Glersi is the current Supervisor of the Aliso Coastal Mine. A male Weequay, he has brown, leathery skin and deep-set black eyes. He has a larger build, a mixture of fat and muscle that gives him an imposing frame. He has been operating the Aliso Coastal Mine for over a decade and working within it since his young adulthood twenty years prior. The mine has passed through several hands as it is bought and sold by interested parties, but Glersi has never paid much mind to who hands down the orders. He is more than adequate in his role of managing the mine and is able to produce just enough raw material to keep it from going under. He isn't much of an intellectual, but his years working in the facility has given him experience, knowledge, and intuition that has allowed him to earn the respect of his subordinates. He prefers to work with living people over droids, and has formed relationships with many of the mine's workers due to his long-standing presence there. He is hesitant to replace them with the droids the Company has assigned to him and will more often than not look out for the well-being of his employees before the efficiency of the mine. That being said, he avoids arguments or clashes with the upper management of the company, not wanting to give them a reason to fire him. |
| | |
| | ===Supervisor Chrimtiok Skwipalg=== |
| | Chrimtiok Skipalg, or as he insists “Chrim”, is a Quarren man currently working as Supervisor of the Aliso Deepsea Mine. He is very personable and approachable, seen as a friendly figure among his staff. That being said, he expects the best. There are rumors that, should you disappoint him, his charismatic demeanor will slip away like a mask, revealing something entirely unpleasant underneath. He seems to have come from nowhere, as he doesn’t like to discuss his history, but the Administrator seems to have faith in him. |
| | |
| | ===Supervisor Kizon Sec=== |
| | Kizon Sec is a Geonosian worker who was chosen to oversee the operations of the joint Falger Mining Company-Valneikian hive facility. Unlike the other Supervisors, he is not employed by Falger Mining Company, instead remaining under the supervision of the Valneikian hive. However, he still reports to Sallo Wur and utilizes that FMC infrastructure when managing the facility. Despite being caught between the two organizations, he remains steadfastly loyal to the hive and keeps an eye out for their interests first and foremost. He has little designs or ambitions on his own and simply seeks to keep the mine operating smoothly and continually churning out product. |
| | |
| | ===Supervisor Telrak Losk=== |
| | Telrak Losk is a middle-aged Muun man tasked with overseeing the Aliso Tundra Mine. He is rather self-centered and vain, but is good at his job. He isn't afraid to speak his mind and do what he wants, but a firm word from his superior will often put him in line should he step too far outside of the box. Telrak enjoys having a fair amount of independence in his operations and fancies himself something of a minor warlord over his mine, managing it like a small fiefdom. He isn't loved by his employees but he treats them well enough to keep them happy and satisfied, and churns out enough product for FMC to keep the Administrator from pulling him out. Say what you will about his attitude, but he's good at his job. |

Falger Mining Company Shipping Division
Falger Mining Company Droid Engineering Corps
Falger Mining Company Operations Managament Team
Properties
FMC Headquarters
FMC Headquarters is a small campus area located nearby the D & D Construction Yards in Aliso City. On the campus are four separate buildings: FMC Business Center, FalDec Workshop, FMC Shipping Warehouse, and the FMC Dormitory.
FMC Business Center
FalDec Workshop
Originally a small warehouse, the FalDec Workshop has been repurposed to serve as a massive workshop and laboratory for FalDec. Inside, there are a massive variety of workstations and equipment for all manner of engineering and mechanical tasks, as well as massive server banks and computers. At any given time of day, there will be engineers, mechanics, programmers and droids toiling away to keep the various mechanized aspects of FMC moving.
FMC Shipping Warehouse
FMC Dormitory
The FMC Dormitory is several stories high, and functions as a home away from home for those FMC employees looking to avoid a commute. Although it is not heavily populated at the moment, as the accommodations are not very extravagant, it was built with the future and potential company growth in mind.
Aliso Coastal Mine
A doonium mine that is off the coast of Aliso's primary continent. Most of the mine is underwater and it is fully self-sufficient and capable of independent operation. A mixture of members of the Willing and mining droids work in the mine facility extracting and processing doonium which is then sold through Falger Mining Company. Direct management of the mine is left to the Supervisor, a Weequay named Kurrokk Glersi and his staff.
Aliso Deepsea Mine
A doonium mine several hundred kilometers from the coast, this facility is rooted firmly on the seafloor and is accessible via a turbolift tower and submarine. It is a fully self-sufficient facility and capable of independent operation. The mine is mostly staffed by droids, with a few members of the Willing working in management and logistics. It's primary product is doonium, which it mines from Aliso's crust and is managed through Falger Mining Company.
Aliso Mountain Mine
A mine focused on the extraction of various mineral substances located a handful of kilometers north of the Valneikian hive, this facility is located inside a mountain range. Falger Mining Company's largest facility yet, it is overseen by Supervisor Kizon Sec. The mine is staffed primarily by droids and Geonosian workers, as the Valneikian hive was central in the founding of this facility and co-owns it. Most of the resources extracted by this mine are directly claimed by the Valneikian hive.
Aliso Tundra Mine
A facility located near the north pole of Aliso, focused on drilling underneath the massive ice sheets there to extract the minerals found within and beneath. The facility is extremely remote and so is mostly left to its own devices, only occasionally making massive supply runs to and from Aliso City to deliver their product and supply the facility. The facility is managed by Supervisor Telrak Losk. It is primarily staffed by droids and hired staff of the Willing. The facility is large but mostly operates on a skeleton crew.
Aliso South Sea Mine
The Aliso South Sea Mine is a mining facility located in the sea several hundred kilometers south of Aliso City. While it is still under construction, when complete, it is meant to be the first fully mechanized and droid operated mining facility under FMC’s ownership. Currently, it is occupied by a cluster of FalDec workers and droids.
Personnel
Administrator Sallo Wur
FMC-OMT Department Chief Arriadon Sheddir
FMC-SD Department Chief Pakru Nocretch
FMC-DEC Department Chief Ros Dro
Supervisor Kurrokk Glersi
Supervisor Chrimtiok Skwipalg
Chrimtiok Skipalg, or as he insists “Chrim”, is a Quarren man currently working as Supervisor of the Aliso Deepsea Mine. He is very personable and approachable, seen as a friendly figure among his staff. That being said, he expects the best. There are rumors that, should you disappoint him, his charismatic demeanor will slip away like a mask, revealing something entirely unpleasant underneath. He seems to have come from nowhere, as he doesn’t like to discuss his history, but the Administrator seems to have faith in him.
Supervisor Kizon Sec
Supervisor Telrak Losk
