| The base would see significant use in the conflicts against [[Cy Thuron]], first against the [[New Dawn]] and the [[Thuron Monarchy]] where it fought to keep Kamuikiko from enemy activity. It served as a safe haven for many during this time, until it was eventually abandoned following Thuron's ascension to a place of government. The Monarchy thankfully ignored its importance during its efforts to purge New Tython of all non-human life, and failed to capitalize on their gain by occupying the base once Clan Odan-Urr was forced to retreat from the world. Upon their return, and following the decapitation of the enemy government, Fort Pernicar was retaken and would go on to serve as a hub of anti-insurgency activity in the following months. This was directed under the command of General [[Deo Sol]], who would go on to serve as its executive officer until its final days. | | The base would see significant use in the conflicts against [[Cy Thuron]], first against the [[New Dawn]] and the [[Thuron Monarchy]] where it fought to keep Kamuikiko from enemy activity. It served in this role for several years under the ownership of House Hoth, before being lost during the massacre of New Tython.
History
Constructed as a base of operations for House Hoth, Fort Pernicar served as a bastion situated on the coastline of Kamuikiko. Utilising the ruins of an ancient gladiatorial arena as its primary structure discovered by Liam Torun-Urr, House Hoth reinforced and then rapidly expanded upon the original designs. This soon led to the fort serving as a true base of operations for the House rather than a mere outpost to assist policing the region. Following the naming conventions of its patron, the fort was promptly named after the famed Jedi General who served under Lord Hoth.
Fort Pernicar served as a linchpin in the defensive plans for Clan Odan-Urr, and the fortress withstood many sieges over its lifespan. Among the earliest took place during the infamous Butcher of Kamuekiko crisis, where multiple Harakoan tribes were manipulated into waging a religious war against alien settlers. While the majority of the battles were waged beyond its walls, having a strong base to fall back on proved essential in rapidly pacifying hostile groups and bringing the war to a rapid end.
The base would see significant use in the conflicts against Cy Thuron, first against the New Dawn and the Thuron Monarchy where it fought to keep Kamuikiko from enemy activity. This was directed under the command of General Deo Sol, who would go on to serve as its executive officer until its final days.
The fort was eventually destroyed in the final Brotherhood invasion of New Tython, where the Grand Master's twisted vision of purity pushed him to ignore all peace treaties with the Jedi and exterminate them. Orbital bombardments and invading armies swept across the continent, burning everything in their path as they sought to murder every living being on the world. Fort Pernicar held against the invaders for the majority of the conflict, delaying the advance of enemy troops and resisting enemy assaults. While the Iron Legion would eventually overrun the fort in New Tython's final hours, the defenders reaped a heavy toll among their number, until only one-third of those who participated in the siege survived. This effort bought time to destroy essential documents and further assist with the civilian evacuation.
The ruins of Fort Pernicar still stand on the planet, with some remnant of its fortifications having resisted the devastation which ravaged the world. Orbital scans confirm that it is damaged beyond repair, and it is estimated that what little remains of the original structure will collapse entirely within the next five hundred years.
