Construction
The Kuat Drive Yards facility at Xa Fel in the Kanchen Sector began construction on Rending Hand in early 25 ABY.
History
During the Ninth Great Jedi War, the RSD Rending Hand was responsible for ensuring that the Clan Fleets stayed in formation and went along with the Battle Plan that the War Council had . It shared this responsibility with the Arcanum.

Rending Hand was the namesake and central vessel of the Rending Hand Strike Group. Together with the Nightfall Strike Group these two elements formed Task Force 61's primary planetary assault force under Joint Task Force Rancor. Rending Hand supported I Legion, 13th Starborne Division of the Army of the Iron Throne.
