The Fifth Starfighter Wing of the Scholae Palatinae Fighter Corps is a collection of starfighters, bombers and support craft based at Ptolomea that deploys with the Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer Indomitable, the Third Flotilla Flagship, as part of the Third Flotilla of the Fleet. It is comprised of three squadrons of TIE Interceptors, two squadrons of Scimitar Assault Bombers and support ships.

Mission

Provide starfighter support and defense to the Third Floatilla of the Fleet of Scholae Palatinae, protecting the Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer Indomitable above all else. As needed, the Fifth Starfighter Wing will carry out missions as designated by the Indomitable.

History

Created during the restructuring of the Scholae Palatinae Fighter Corps, but with roots as old as the aquisition of the Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer Indomitable itself, as the star destroyer has always has a fighter element to it. Being used almost entirely as an extension of the Indoimitable, the history of the Fifth Starfighter Wing is almost entirely tied to the Impstar Deuce.
