Khaer Sordar is a Sith Proselyte, trying to be most Force skilled Dark Jedi. He wants to be a Sith Sorcerer.
Character History
Childhood
The first Death Star was being attacked when on a distant planet named Iridonia, a baby Zabrak was born. His name was Khaer.
Khaer Sordar was born to Vihu Sordar a few days after her husband, Lothar, had died on an exploration mission on the night side of the planet. It destroyed her, he was everything in the world to her. She loved her new baby boy enough to ensure a decent life for him, everytime she looked at him it reminded her of his father. It brought her great pain. Zabraks where known for their resistance to pain, but heart ache was always with Vihu.
Khaer and his mother talked very little. When he was younger, he thought that his mother did not like to being with him as his mere presence caused sadness in her. So, he avoided his mother whenever he could.
Because of their relationship, Vihu never instructed Khaer in the Zabrak ways. He was alone always, and never tried to make new friends. He was a sad kid and the other Zabrak children made his life miserable just because he was different from them.
Discovery of the Force
When he was nearly 8 standard years old, Khaer made an amazing discovery while being hung upside down by his feet after some rough play with some bullys. They left him there for hours until he realized he needed to get out of that situation on his own. He tried very hard to reach and untie his feet but he simply was not flexible enough. He focused his mind, and tried so hard that suddenly, the bindings begun to untie on their own.
From that moment on, Khaer centered his life around this new found power. He told nobody about it. He had no friends or siblings. His mother never worried too much about his whereabouts, figuring him safe on the farm playing outside. The Zabrak knew nothing about Jedi, Sith or the Force. For him, he was special, different than the other kids. He was so fascinated with this that his only thoughts became how to improve his powers.
When Khaer reached his teen years, the other kids begun their traditional combat training. He was not interested in fighting with fists when he knew he could do much better without them. His mother never encourage him to fight either.
The Departure
As he grew older, his mother spent more time with him, and when he was not training, he was helping her on the farm. This was the time when he really got to know his mother and the sadness she carried. He understood why it was so painful to her being with him, so he made a choice. He would leave Iridonian, explore the worlds in search of new powers, and leave his mother out his presence. She was going to be better off without him.
The time for his Res Selenoren was getting close. It took a lot of courage, but he told his clan elders he would refuse his ceremony, and abandon the planet to find a new life. He did not got any Jatos by that, and he never wanted them, he was not like other Zabraks he knew. So he packed his few belongings and said goodbye to Vihu, telling her that he would never return, and that she should never look for him.
Pirate life
Life out of Iridonia was really hard for Khaer, he had no money and no friends to go t, so he tried joining a small pirate vessel with a Gamorrean captain named Garlos, who treated him like a slave. He visited a lot of worlds, made some money and did some dirty stuff. He noticed that his power improved if he released his emotions and frustrations. He learned about Jedis, and about Sith as well. He had a new goal in his life, to meet one of those Force users of legends. He knew they were a myth, but he couldn’t be the only one with unique gifts. There HAD to be someone with his powers, or even more power than him, someone from which Khaer could learn and become more powerful.
With Garlos he learned how to use a blade, and how to pilot small ships. His lust for the Force was so powerful that he left the pirates upon arriving in a small low life port named Port Ol'val.
Meeting the Dark Jedi
Port Ol'val was not a good place. It was filled with thugs, mercenaries and soldiers of a criminal organization. As a pirate it was not difficult to join a gang. He needed food and shelter, and a group called “The Bloody Fists” recruited him. For them and its human leader, Farrel, he killed, robbed, and stole in the port. They were gaining territory and respect, and Khaer was of some use. One day another group arrived. They were strange people, dark people, and the Zabrak felt it. They were special, just like him. He finally found the group, but Farrel knew they were a threat to him and had to be dealt with.
The Dark Jedi Brotherhood
Farrel spotted their leader, a human named Marick Del'Abbot, and sent a team to kill him. Khaer made sure he was part of that team. They confronted him in a dark alley but for some reason, he didn’t looked scared to confront sixteen gangsters. This fascinated Khaer, and he did nothing but stare in awe as Marick drew some weapon of pure light and deflected with ease all the blaster bolts fired at him. Then it was the Dark Jedi’s turn. He was so fast that Khaer had difficult time trying to follow his movements. In a matter of seconds he slew all of the thugs but two of them, one frozen in terror, the other in awe. Marick slowly approached the terrorized Gamorrean who started to grovel for his life, begging for mercy. Marick unlit his lightsaber, but continued his path to the thug. The Gamorrean lifted his blaster gun and aimed at Marick. Khaer quickly use his power to disarm the thug as the Dark Jedi killed him with one blow. Marick then looked at Khaer, and offered a slight grin. “So, you have a few tricks of your own, do you?” he said. "Thanks for the help, but I still can't let you live."
Instead of begging for mercy, Khaer fell to his knees and bowed his head forward and yelled, “Please, teach me!”
Marick paused and studied the Zabrak. He knew of only one other Zabrak who was Force sensitive. Arcona needed as many new members as it could get. With some proper training, the boy could turn out to be a great asset. He let Khaer leave under the condition that he would come join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and become a part of Clan Arcona.
