The Underworld was the unofficial name for one of the criminal gangs on Refuge under the leadership of the Human crime lord Drastig. Though not the largest or oldest gang on there, the Underworld was gaining membership and territory rapidly due to Drastig's organizational skills and the fact that the gang have access to state of the art body enhancement and performance and strength enhancing steroids, used by almost all of the members. They inhabited Sector Five of Refuge where they have a large drug laboratory and cybernetic facility to enhance their members and create substances to sell to outside customers.

They came to the attention of Clan Naga Sadow and the Dlarit Corporation due to attempts to sell drugs to their military both on Tarthos and other military installations. Though simply giving many a good feeling the substances had serious and sometimes fatal side effects to others.

Members of Clan Naga Sadow boarded Refuge under the guise of a trade mission by a prince from Kyataru and once there spread out and gradually fought a series of covert battles with the Underworld's members. The organisation was wiped out almost totally, though according to an interogated survivor before his death several members may have escaped and may still be present on Refuge or elsewhere.

Members

Drastig

Drastig was the leader of the Underworld, coming to Refuge five years ago with a few loyal followers he has established himself as a powerful force. He was tall, powerfully built, and like his followers had heavy hidden enhancements making him strong, quick and resilient. He had big ambitions and foresaw a day would rule all of the facility, by either buying up or forcing out rivals. He had lightly scarred features, a bald head he shaves and a short dark beard. He was killed.

Morax

Morax was a Trandoshan and Drastig's second in command. Like his boss he was tall, powerful and heavily augmented. He was fiercely loyal to Drastig, devious but had no current ambitions of betrayal, happy with his piece of an ever growing pie. After Drastig he was the most feared person in Sector Five and is responsible for combat training. He was a former combatant and champion of Refuge's Arena but has recently retired undefeated. He spoke good galactic basic with an occasional reptilian lisp.

Sidrac

Sidrac was a Quarren scientist working for Drastig, who runs the cybernetic and narcotics laboratories in Sector Five. He originally studied genetics, cybernetics and chemistry at a university on Coruscant before doing research work for several large corporations. He eventually fell out with his employers and met Drastig. He apparently worked for Drastig and tested his techniques on willing volunteers from the gang, unfortunate prisoners, and most frequently himself. His own enhancements were first rate and despite his appearance he is a fearsome fighter. After attempting to defend his laboratory from Clan Members he took a fatal narcotic rather than be taken alive.

Javain

Javain is a Human bounty hunter, famous throughout Refuge and many criminal systems, for his skill, ruthlessness and ability. He came to work for Drastig after a failed assassination attempt paid for by another of Refuge's crime lords. After taking a beating from Drastig personally he was persuaded to join and has never regretted it, going out into the disputed territory of the other sectors leaving discreetly hidden bodies or object lessons in his wake. The enhancements Sidrac has done to him has greatly improved his prowess and he is feared wherever he walks. He has long blonde hair in ponytail under a wide brimmed hat and wears a long black cloak, concealing his many weapons. He was involved in fighting in Sector Five but escaped. His presence is unknown.

Shareth

Shareth was the youngest of Drastig's followers, a Twi'lek woman in her early twenties. She was an orphan who came to Refuge with her merchant father, and after his unfortunate death she became a pickpocket in the neutral Sector one. She was found by Morax after trying to pick his pocket and recruited. Now older and enhanced, she was resourceful but also cruel and callow and enjoys enforcing Drastig's will on the inhabitants of Sector Five. She was often accompanied by the older Tremas to keep her stable. She was addicted to Sidrac's designed steroids and uses them regularly, making her a strong and competent fighter but also unstable. She was slain by Clan members outside the Underworld's base.

Kahudrak

Kahudrak the Zabrak was the newest recruit to Drastig's gang. A few years older than Shareth, he was the champion of the Sector One arena following Morax's retirement. He was arrogant, enjoyed expensive drink and food and the company of adoring females of many species. He was a favorite of the crowd and a respected figure in the arena, though recently he had taken to fighting droids and beasts due to the lack of willing opponents. He came to work for Drastig following a heavy loss betting on swoop racing, and though the crime lord left him free to fight for a share of the winnings, he was still called to his boss's side when needed. He was challenged and slain in the Arena by a Sadow member.

Tremas

Tremas was the oldest of Drastig's followers, being his original lieutenant before Morax's recruitment, something he resented but quietly accepts. He was tall and strong, but also quiet and reserved, taking care of some of much of the day-to-day work for Drastig making sure everyone is fed, maintenance gets done and the narcotics go out on time. He was good in a fight and calm, and when pushed he could strike back with fierce efficiency. He died defending Drastig.

The Ripper Crew

The Ripper Crew is a cell of five members of Drastig's product dealers and enforcers that work in Sector 4. The crews works directly for Drastig and is responsible for ensuring that the product is sold regardless of what others have to say.

Thorrin

A Wookiee like most that has a very short fuse and bad temper. Thorrin took control of The Ripper Crew when the former leader mouth off at him. The Wookiee simple lifted the man off the ground and ripped him into pieces. Thorrin has the strength equal to that of a Jedi Knight at full potential but he isn't that bright. He allows his anger to cloud his judgment when provoked at a personal level. He always carries an old Imperial DC as well as a medium sized sword that looks like a knife when held by the Wookiee.

Bwua'tu

A Bothan that is used to sneak product into the higher class establishments because of his overall look of wealth and honesty. Bwua'tu is far from that, along with selling to the rich people wanting a fix he also specializes in sells to kids. This Bothan isn't much of a fighter and never carries a weapon of any kind, to make up for that Thorrin assigned a set of twin Sullustans to be his lookouts and guards while he works.

The Jalus Brothers

These two Sullustans may not look very deadly but that is what deceives most people. Both brothers have had experimental surgeries done by Sidrac, Drastig's private cybernetic and narcotics scientist. Under their clothes is an armor chest and their arms have been fully replaced with robotic limbs. These limps are highly attuned for both strength and defense, rumors even say they can block a lightsaber attack barehanded. The Jalus Brothers have a tendency to ignore their surroundings when drawn into an argument with each other.

Draven Mollo

A large(fat) Human male who enjoys the simple joy of selling products that make people feel good about themselves. Draven is very addicted to the product he sells. Thanks to a bit of work from Sidric, Draven's body feels no pain. That does not mean he can't get hurt, he just has no clue if he has been hurt. That alteration has allowed Draven to survive fights that would kill an average man. He is very talented with a blaster pistol and has twin pistols hanging from either side.

The Rep Squad

The Rep Squad is another one of Drastig's sales gangs. This one is located in Sector 3 and ran entirely by reptilian species.

Tes

A female Barabel who is in control of The Rep Squad. Tes is a fierce fighter and has never allowed a person who isn't paying her to treat her like an inferior creature. Tes had a bit of work from Sidric and now her senses are heightened beyond that of the average person as well as her reaction speeds. She carries two curved blades, each measuring about 2 feet, strapped across her back and is highly deadly with said weapons.

Shalduk

A male Barabel and also Tes's mate. Shalduk is unaltered in anyway except his over protection of Tes. He to carries the twin blades strapped across his back but also wears a pair of shockboxer steel gloves that put off a jolt of electricity when it comes in contact with anything.

Onacon

A Rodian who spent nearly his entire life training as a bounty hunter. He was recruited into the gang when his first bounty has an utter failure because of interception of the target by Javain. Onacon wears the chest plate from an old set of stormtrooper armor carries an old Imperial DC. Onacon's left arm was lost in the failed hunt but was replaced with a robotic arm crafted by Sidric. This arm has a built in micro flamethrower like those popular with most bounty hunters.

Rool

A Rodian seller who is extremely against all drugs. He was forced into selling when he was jumped by a group of gang members (The Ripper Crew) for speaking out against the drugs in his neighborhood. The attack left him badly wounded and Morax made a deal that if he would sale the product then he could live. Rool accepted and Sidric replaced Rool's legs and right arm with robotic limbs. Rool still objects to the product but would still kill anyone who placed his life in danger by trying to stop him from selling.

Chekar

A Rodian hitman that was recruited into The Rep Squad to help make people see that selling of product was going to happen no matter what. Chekar refused to accept any upgrades from Sidric. Not much is known about how Chekar works or what weapons he uses but everyone knows that if called to an open challenge he will accept and will adhere to any rules laid down.

Assets

The Underworld came to rule Sector Five of Refuge, including their own enclave in the center of it, several bars and a casino, and the combined cybernetic and narcotics laboratories. They also owned shares in other business's and a percentage of all money entering and leaving the sector went into their coffers.
