Personality and Hobbies
Like all Thakwaash, Nils’ psyche is made up of a number of separate and distinguishable minds. His main mind is known as his social mind which he uses to communicated and otherwise interact with other people, it is well spoken and eloquent; capable of communicating in a number of different languages.
He has a mind dedicated to piloting starfighters, though he hasn’t named it personally his squad mates have nicknamed it Ace. Nils’ pilot mind is calculating and precise and disciplined to a fault, while it is in control he never questions an order and his flying skill is nearly the best in Rapax Squadron.
His final primary mind he calls Tactician, trained to the highest level of cognitive and analytical ability. It is also well versed in the tactical manuals of most naval forces; both past and present, allowing his to study the present state of a battle and determine the best option.
Nils spends his spare time socializing with his fellow pilots aboard the BAC Doomsday, often drinking until his control over his various minds is dramatically impaired.
Appearance
While shorter than the average Thakwaash, Nils still towers over the average Human. He has a horse like face, his fur a light brown except his mane which is a darker shade and kept tied up at the back.
He possesses immense strength which often sees him performing heavy lifting and other manual tasks for the squadron.
History
Early Years
Given up at birth by his parent on Thakwaa, Nils was adopted by Human parents on Corscaunt. He was raised in CoCo Town working as labour in his adoptive parent’s factory. Much of his spare time was spent conversing with an imaginary friend who actually occupied one of his minds.
He grew to resent his parents, biological and adoptive, and as soon as he came of age and had saved up enough credits he brought passage on a private freighter to Nar Shaddaa.
Mercenary Employment
Nils found employment with a band of mercenaries who used him a muscle when collecting bounties or expecting trouble during smuggling runs. He was also trained to fly escort starships and even light freighters; so which he took to with the greatest of ease. He quickly became the best pilot the band had at their disposal.
Working with the mercenary band, Nils avoided all the major conflicts that affected the galaxy until the Yuuzhan Vong War at which point they were hired by the New Republic to bolster their forces.
Tarentum Navy
At the official conclusion to the war, Nils left his mercenary employers at the nearest planet. He found himself on Yridia IX and his saved up credits quickly drying up. Having drunk the final beverage that he could afford, he enlisted in the local Navy, thinking that his piloting skills would keep him flush for a great amount of time while affording him more stability in his life than he had had previously.
He completed initial officer training late in 30 ABY, commissioned with the rank of Ensign and assigned to the Rapax Squadron.
