Kurs'ika Armis is the second youngest adopted child of Wulfram Armis and known for her aggressive demeanor. Originally a child of the streets, she came to find herself the subject of a forcible adoption after attempting to rob the aforementioned Wulfram at vibroknife point. Known by her family to have a penchant for being crass, getting in over her head, and otherwise picking fights she is said to be a handful. Despite her familial reputation, she has worked hard and continues to work hard at one day becoming a proper Mandalorian like her adoptive father.
Physical Description
Possessing the iconic vestigial eye sockets of her species, a cursory glance at Kurs'ika would tell one that she is an adolescent female, of approximately below average height with poorly maintained shoulder length red hair. Her face, which is filled in by an average looking but slightly bent nose and full lips, has a slight red tinge about the cheeks which shows through her lightly tanned pale skin. Her athletic body, which shows obvious signs of muscles underneath the skin, possesses a mix of faded to fresh scars ranging from simple healed cuts to long and thick lines which indicate the myriad old wounds and recently healed injuries earned through a hard early life and a dangerous or risky present.
Character History
Early Life
Born to unknown parents and an unknown name, records indicate that Kurs'ika was taken in by an orphanage at the approximate age of three. At the time she was given the name Lucile. The child was later noted as being rambunctious, disobedient, and a rule breaker. The staff lodged several complaints to management about her. However Kurs'ika was eventually "discharged" from the orphanage after failing to return for several weeks around the age of eight. The truth of the matter was that she had taken to living on the streets and fallen in with a group of other children and teens who got by on petty theft and scams.
The Streets
Street living was at first enticing due to the freedom and novelty of living without adults telling you what to do. However Kurs'ika soon came to learn that a group not governed by rules and procedure tended to default to the rule of the biggest or meanest. As a seemingly blind child, she was soon told to beg for money from passersby who felt sympathetic towards her and were ignorant to her species. Things were fun at first, but then eventually there were periods were money was scarce and hunger was common.
The older children would sometimes not come back to the hideout. Either due to arrest and/or imprisonment, or going straight and finding work. Sometimes they managed to join an actual gang. Eventually things got bad, and she got desperate. After stealing a vibroknife from the possessions of an older teen who never came back, she set out to try and get money for food. It was that touch of destiny that brought her into contact with Wulfram. She saw him as as old and perhaps an easy target. When Kurs'ika fumbled with trying to activate the knife, Wulfram easily restrained her and defused the situation. Despite refusing to rat out her friends or really say much of anything the young approximately nine year old Kurs'ika was taken in by Wulfram as a foundling.
