Background
Darth Necar was a male Sith Lord and apprentice to Grand Master Zoraan. He was trained in the secret arts of the Star Chamber and has achieved near-Grand Master abilities within the Force. Necar was a master alchemist and an expert at the creation of biological weapons and Sith monstrosities. Necar developed severe psychosis due to the unorthodox teaching style of Grand Master Zoraan, which resulted in Necar becoming an unpredictable entity that had grown co-dependent on his master. After the death of his master, Necar's mental status deteriorated rapidly.
Death
During the Brotherhood's attack on the Avenger II, a team of Dark Jedi came upon Necar on the bridge of the ship. Driven mad by the loss of his master, Necar had slain the entire crew of the Avenger II and seemed intent on pursuing a suicidal attack on Antei. Unable to defeat him in armed combat, the strike team eventually sacrificed one of their own members to occupy Necar long enough for them to vent the entire bridge into the void of space. Necar, blinded by his rage and insanity, was struck by a thermal detonator before being sucked into the vacuum of space to his death.
Powers and Abilities
Necar’s unique ability within the Force led to his work on several mutations to Terentateks, to include the development of an enhanced species that is partially resistant to lightsaber strikes. He was fond of keeping the beasts close to him, even when aboard the SSD Avenger II.
Darth Necar was a powerful Lord of the Sith with a connection to the Force comparable with Brotherhood Grand Masters. He was a vortex of Force Energy and there were few could stand against him. His Sith Sword, Vengeance, was said to be enhanced by submersion in blood spilled in anger. The blade was capable of deflecting blaster bolts, engaging a lightsaber, and causing paralysis from minor cuts.
Behind the Scenes
Darth Necar was an NPC created for the Dark Crusade prologue, Capturing the Avenger II. He served as the "main boss" character of the Run On and was killed off in the winning, canon entry.
