The Rokirs are a family within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Family Origins

The Patriarch

The man known now as Vassan Rokir was once Chanlin Marr, a TIE Fighter pilot turned politician in first the Galactic Empire, and then later a Dark Jedi within the Emperor's Hammer organization. Prior to the great Exodus from the EH, Chanlin Marr served as Chancellor of the EH Senate.

Chanlin was born and raised on the world of Ricaldi, located within the Tapani Sector. The planet had two moons: Phaeyta, a small and lush forest moon that held a close orbit to Ricaldi, and served as the Royal Seat of the ruling family of House Melantha; and Rokir, a dead and desolate moon, far from the warmth and light of Ricaldi.

At some point in his young adult life, Chanlin's Force potential was discovered by an unknown member of the Dark Brotherhood, and he was recruited into the then House Arcona. Once initiated into the Brotherhood, Chanlin chose his new name: "Vassan," which had been the name of a famous architect within the Marr family, and "Rokir," after the dead moon of his homeworld.
