The Nightstalkers are a battleteam attached to House Scholae Palatinae, whose history can be linked to a famed elite platoon in the Hammer's Fist Legion.

History

Born just after the mass Exodus in 19 ABY, the Nighstalkers were formed to combat the growing threat of insurgent forces within the Emperor's Hammer. Created by a group of up and coming special forces officers, the group of mostly force-senstives waged war on the enemies of the Fleet Commander. Much of their work involved assassinations of local political figures who spoke out against the Hammer, but they did perform some behind the lines actions against the New Republic as well as the forces of other warlords and pirates. The unit suffered a large number of casualties while under the command of General Hemi, and the Nightstalkers disbanded in 22 ABY. Many of the Force sensitive members went on to become the cadre of the Shadowstalkers under the leadership of Angelo Dante.

Following the abysmal failure of the clan during the fighting on Salas V, many within Scholae Palatinae had called for a refocusing of the members on the warrior arts. With the downgrading of all of the clans to house status due to attrition, the Nightstalkers were reborn.
