Appearance

Handsome by human standards, Marick is tall and trim with a strong, slightly characterized jaw. His eyes are a vibrant blue and sit beneath a mane of shoulder length, jet-black hair that parts somewhat to either side of his face. A natural athlete, his muscles are toned nicely and proportionate to his body, giving him a harmonic, elegant flow to his movements whether it be in combat or in every day life.

Character History

Growing up in the Matriarchal society of Hapan can be tough for the typical male child. It was a little different for Mercucio Del'Abbot, or "Marick" as he greatly insisted on being called.

The son of popular Consortium member Angelica Del'Abbot, Marick was handsome as far as humans went and was naturally gifted at anything he tried. He worked hard in school and in the training grounds, making sure he was the top of every class, which where dominated by women of course. He knew that one slip up and he could lose everything he had worked for. The few boys who made it into the school looked up to him as a role model for breaking the feminist stereotypes laid upon their entire gender.

Prominently friends with all girls, it drove Marick silently insane always having to listen to their gossip, schemes, and blatant elitism. Only one seemed to break away from the norm, which was probably the reason he was attracted to her and her alone. Amber by no means could compete with Marick physically, but her intelligence was almost as deadly as her beauty. Yet she never talked down to him, only teased or corrected him politely. After years of friendship, Marick had to fight through a barrier to win her heart, and remains in love with her to this day.

Not having a father, Marick spent as much time as he could with Allister, a retired bodyguard for the Consortium. Allister was one of the few males in Hapan that was universally respected after taking a blaster bolt for one of the members of the Consortium in an assassination attempt by another family. Allister told him stories of epic battles, fearless warriors in battle, and showed him techniques and maneuvers that the female instructors wouldn't teach him for fear of letting him shoot too far ahead of their prized girls.

After turning 21 years of age, it was discovered that Marick had a connection with the force, which sparked a plan within his mother and a few other Consortium members who still held scorn for the Jedi Order. They would send Marick off to train as a Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood to return home as their very own tool against the Jedi.

Marick was excited to get a chance to see the world outside of his home world, but at the same time had been milling over the thought of asking Amber to marry him. Before leaving for the academy, he managed to pop the question, and she agreed and promised to wait for his return. With high hopes and aspirations, he departed for the Shadow Academy.

Upon arrival, it didn't take long for Marick to realize that he was no longer in Kansas, so to speak. He learned his place shortly after beginning his training, suddenly not naturally the best at everything. There where students from all over the galaxy, all of which seemed to be darker versions of himself.

One of the higher-ups in Arcona took notice to him, no doubt at the request or the doing of his mother's influence, and had him bounced back and forth between houses before settling down into House Qel-Droma, and being assigned into Prophecy Phyle to study under the Archpriest-Tetrarch, Arcturus Xyler. Even with Arcturus' promotion to the Dark Summit, he still serves as the young Hapan's Master, as he has far, far to go.

Fighting Style

Marick is a tactician, and prides himself on his ability to adapt to situations and quickly formulate plans. While intellectual, he finds himself more attuned to the path of an Obelisk, focusing his training on combat and saber skills.

Trivia

  • Marick is an only child. Contrary to what that may imply, he secretly longs for companionship and acceptance from his fellow clan mates, never having a brother to guide him or to talk with. While he enjoys his own personal time, he get's lonely.
  • Due to his noble heritage, he tends to come off as arrogant, but more than often means well and is just unaware of it.
  • While most Hapan are known for poor vision at night, Marick is practically blind in low-lit or dark situations. He also can't make out peoples faces from too far away.
  • Has an complex against aggressive women. Extremely proud, he will go out of his way if it means out preforming a female or proving one wrong.
  • His ideological views on life are tested with every day and every mission that he takes on his journey into studying the dark side.
  • He seems to have a different, almost noble, view on what is right or wrong.

Outstanding Achievements

On his first combat mission he lead a small team of three to get the power of the ISDII Eye of the Abyss II back online, prevailing alive against a rouge Dark Jedi Knight while capturing his accomplice.
