Character History
Early Life
Hevan Slavis was born on Genaris, a outer rim planet in the Atrivis Sector in 2 BBY. His father was a fisherman on the planets northern lakes, often taking the young Hevan with him, teaching him how to fish and hunt in the planets warm climate. His mother, as their villages culture demanded, was a hunter, often not seeing Hevan or her husband for days as she hunted across the dense jungle that covered most of the planet. As a result, news of the Galactic Civil War rarely reached the village, with even large events such as the destruction of the Death Star only reaching them 2 years after it happened.
The war on Genaris
Revenge attacks
Due to the low levels of Imperial control, rebels often frequented Genaris, but the population often chose neither side. Despite Hevan's village often helping the Empire, when a team of rebels shot down a Imperial generals shuttle, the Empire bombed the small village in revenge. Hevan and his father, along with a few of the other men of the village who were fishing, were the only survivors. Upon landing at the village, the men of the village made a blood pact to free their region.
Ambush in the forest
Upon Hevan's 23rd birthday, Hevan had been fighting a guerrilla war with the other survivors from his village for the last 8 years, where Hevan learnt how to survive off the land, often being sent out with other young soldiers to ambush and trap patrols and cargo deliveries. Upon a failed ambush on an Imperial convoy, Hevan being one of 3 survivors that escaped the counterattack, Hevan was forced to realize that father was killed in the attack, and he fled into the forest. After a week in the jungle, Hevan and the 2 other survivors were ambushed at early dawn by a Imperial army patrol, where the other 2 were shot almost instantly, Hevan only surviving due to him instinctively hiding himself from sight.
Descent into Plagueis
Hevan, surviving on his own with no knowledge of the galactic civil war, was arrested by new republic officials upon their arrival into a town that he frequently stole from, placing him into one of many prison ships bound for rehabilitation camps. Here, Hevan was rescued by the Heretic, a vessel under the control of clan Plagueis, attempting to rescue a incarcerated asset to the clan. Here, Hevan was released by members of the Saraask'ar, who wished to kill him and other prisoners for sport. Hevan was forced to kill the other prisoners, a task he took with grim determination, all while being watched by an impressed TuQ'uan Varick
Physical Description
Hevan Slavis appears to be a tall, broad-shouldered, and physically fit person, with pale scarred, but healthy skin and sports a warriors build. His close cut, straight dark brown hair matches his dark brown eye held above a straight nose and a set jaw. He bears thin scar across his cheek. Many small cuts adorn his arms and face, and 2 small golden studs are imbedded above his right eye's eyebrow. These studs represent his home planet and it's moon.
