Overview

Dlarit Alert Base(image not to scale)
The Dlarit Forward Alert Base is a prefabricated series of structures meant to be erected as a placeholder before more permanent bases can be established, or where large expenditures of funds would be unwise or unnecessary. While it certainly does have some teeth (see below), the primary purpose of these bases is that of observation and communication, with a secondary role in fire support.

Staffed by 30 Dlarit Personnel, most of whom are sensor technicians and fire control, these bases are very much simple support structures.

The sensor suites are small affairs, but are used to magnify and assist (at close range) the much more powerful main sensor system. Combined with man-portable 'aerials' a full 3-d holographic rendering of a battlefield can be transmitted and uploaded to local forces in a matter of seconds, including space borne assets for planetary bombardment.
