I would be hesitant to apply the requisite intent needed for the crime of vandalism to this particular situation, since the quote obviously was not intended to destroy/damage the Wiki itself. Of course that's only my opinion ... [[User:Vladimir|Vladimir]] 13:48, 3 March 2008 (MST)

* I, nor the quoted, did not intend to be insulting. The quoted were only joking. I am glad that you pointed this out, Impetus, and I apologize if it came across as "gross and insulting". I will make sure to look at a possible quote from a different point of view before posting it. -- [[User:RevengeX|RevengeX Palpatine]] 14:26, 3 March 2008 (MST)

* Vladimir - I know Vandalism probably wasn't the best place to put this, but I didn't really know where else to put it. On the Main Page they seemed to have more constructive comments than someone wishing for a more ethical main page.
RevengeX - I think any negative quotes aimed at specific people irl should be avoided. I probably won't be the last to get annoyed at a quote like this. Although '''this''' circumstance was probably me over-reacting; it '''was''' triggered by very similar real abuse I have recieved in the past from various db and non-db members, online and irl. When you have one type of less civilised people calling English people like myself 'a group of flithy inbreds' to cause offence, and another making an innocent joke about the sterotype, it's hard to differentiate, and that's the main reason racist jokes aren't looked upon kindly in today's society.
