Merit medals are, next to competition medals, the most common awards for activity in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and are given for exemplary work on single projects or consistent activity over a period of time. The value of each merit medal varies from Dark Crosses to the Grand Cross of the Dark Side. Merit medals can be awarded by most house and clan leaders and help push members closer to their next promotion.
