Castor Paratus is an Alleman Mechanic, Explosive Engineer, and a former Jedi Knight of the Old Republic. Following the calamity of the Jedi Purge, both Castor and his brother Pollus narrowly escaped and after a blind hyperspace jump crash landed on the planet Aliso where they lived until being accidentally stumbled upon by members of Clan Plagueis whom had entered a proximity minefield that surrounded their home.
After capturing one of the Plagueians who had been incapacitated by several cloaked detonators placed in the area after the minefield, a game of cat-and-mouse ensued until it was realized that they were not Imperials who had been sent to finish the job. When Castor and Pollus learned of the Empire's downfall, they happily celebrated for a brief time until he realized what this now meant after speaking with the Plagueian more as additional forces arrived on the plains by their home. Castor would have to join with them willingly, and serve the Dread Lord Teylas Ramar as a Dark Jedi, be indoctrinated into their forces as a slave, or face the full wrath of Plagueis and perish. Reluctantly, he agreed to join them on the condition that his brother be allowed to come as well, and that no harm would befall him.
