Introduction

Clan Naga Sadow is one of six remaining legal clans in the Dark Brotherhood. It currently has two constituent houses: Ludo Kressh and Marka Ragnos. The current Consul of Clan Naga sadow is Dark Adept Manesh Sadow, and the current Proconsul is Krath Archpriestess Kat Pridemore.

Brief History

Tron Dlarit, a descendent of Naga Sadow, sought a refuge where he could recreate the might of Naga Sadow's empire.

With this idea in mind, he petitioned Grand Master Justinian Khyron. Khyron told Tron that in order to create a new house, Tron would have to seek out 35 members of the Dark Brotherhood. However, instead of scouring the other clans for members, Tron sought out 35 rogue members. Tron envisioned a house where outcasts would find a home.

In time this house of outcasts became a more established unit in the Dark Brotherhood. When it grew large enough, Tron petitioned to have House Naga Sadow become a clan.

Detailed History

Heir to an Empire

Five thousand years after his death the Sadow bloodline had all but disappeared. Those who survived the fall of the empire had disappeared into the galaxy until only one remained. Tron Dlarit.

Tron Dlarit grew up in a foster family oblivious to his true heritage as the heir to the Sith Empire. His father, Airen Dlarit, was the wealthy owner of the Xucphra Corporation. His eighteenth birthday came and he enlisted in the Galactic Empire and later joined the Imperial Navy after completing his training. In the Old Republic he would have been identified early but with nobody to take notice he shot through the ranks with remarkable speed.

It was early in his career when the Emperor was killed at Endor. The Empire disbanded into a number of rogue factions but Tron Dlarit remained loyal to the Remnant. It was not long after the formation of the New Republic that he learned of the deaths of his foster family, including his sister Erisi. Soon after swearing revenge on those who killed his family he was approached by agents of the Brotherhood. They told him of his full potential and offered him a place among them. Tron Dlarit accepted without question. Together with training the Brotherhood granted him governorship of a small planet in the Outer Rim called Sif. There he and others would meet to rediscover the mysteries of the dark side and rebuild the Emperor’s New Order of the galaxy.

Then one fateful night Tron Dlarit was visited in his sleep by the Dark Man. The spectral apparition guided him to the Yavin system and to the Great Massassi Temple on the jungle moon of the fourth planet. Tron Dlarit plundered the temple vaults discovering a Holocron left behind five thousand years earlier by Naga Sadow. He was just preparing to depart when Luke Skywalker arrived. He knew the match could only have one possible outcome but was not prepared to surrender to the government responsible for the deaths of his foster family. Tron Dlarit fought fearlessly but in the end was no match for the Jedi Knight. Then just as they both thought the battle over the Dark Man appeared and took possession of Tron Dlarit’s body, guiding him in battle against Skywalker. The Jedi was no match for the renewed might of the darksider and Tron Dlarit was able to escape. There aboard his ship the Dark Man revealed himself as the dark spirit of Naga Sadow and revealed to Tron Dlarit his ancestry as the last surviving member of the Dark Lord’s bloodline.

Tron Dlarit became Tron Sadow, heir to the Sith Empire, last of the Sadows.

Sons and Disciples

Returning to Sif the newly anointed Sith set about establishing a following. Tron Sadow dispatched envoys to summon prospective apprentices to his side. Within a few months of his meeting with the Sith Lord’s spirit the long silent call of Naga Sadow was heard and latent Force-sensitives from across the known galaxy flocked to the Phare to visit Governor Tron Sadow of Sif and hear his message.

Together Tron Sadow and his new apprentices became the Sons of Sadow. In time they became a House working together in isolation inside the governor’s mansion on Sif. Tron Sadow slowly grew more distant to the Remnant as his following grew and was forced to relocate his formal residency, allowing the former mansion to become a dedicated site of dark side learning, Sadow Palace. Hidden from the galaxy in isolation the Sons of Sadow multiplied and a short time of its founding the House became a Clan. In its wake the former House left behind three new Houses named for the Sith Lord’s mentor, his great battle, and his rival. The Disciples of Ragnos, Goluud and Kressh joined with the Sons of Sadow to become the great Clan it is today.

The House of the Mentor, Marka Ragnos, went to Loki, the House of the Great Battle, Primus Goluud, to Frigg, and the House of the Rival, Ludo Kressh, to Ullyr. There the three Houses worked united under the authority and leadership of Tron Sadow.

In the Shadow of the Remnant

Time passed and the Sons of Sadow grew into a powerful force under the leadership of Tron Sadow and his Consuls. The dark side was gathering in strength in the shadow of the Imperial Remnant. While the Sons of Sadow rebuilt their ancient empire the ruins of Palpatine’s empire began to squabble and tear themselves apart. The brief unity that had come of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the reborn Emperor’s leadership was disappearing. Without the Force to guide it the Imperial Remnant was sure to crumble into nothingness.

Then came the day when the Seven united against the oppression of the Imperial Remnant and decreed the unitary authority of the Dark Lords of the Sith. They challenged the corrupt Moffs and Governors demanding the immediate return of power to the true leaders of the empire. Their request went unheeded and the Imperial Remnant turned on them, branding them traitors, and ordering the Imperial Navy to dispose of any who challenged their authority. The Seven returned to the Dark Hall and commanded the Clans to depart for the Unknown Regions to a star system named Antei.

The Sons of Sadow responded to the command of the Dark Lord of the Sith and commenced an immediate evacuation of Sif, Loki, Frigg and Ullyr. The followers of Naga Sadow emptied their vaults of anything they could stow aboard their ships and prepared to leave the system when a Victory-class star destroyer arrived. The Consul ordered that the self-destruct sequences for the various fortresses and palaces be activated, choosing rather to take their oppressors with them before surrendering to the corrupt courts of the Imperial Remnant. Tron Sadow in an act of self sacrifice stayed behind on Sif to activate the destruct sequence of Sadow Palace. Just as the Clan was prepared to jump to lightspeed an Imperial Interdictor arrived to prevent their escape. Believing everything lost the Consul was about to order a direct attack on the Interdictor when a battleship appeared in the skies over Sif. Bearing Sadow Palace atop its command bridge the unknown ship entered the battle raining fire upon the Interdictor. The Clan broke off their escape to assist the battleship when the image of Tron Sadow appeared on the bridge of the Consul’s flagship. Tron Sadow revealed the hidden secret of Sadow Palace- it was built on top of a hidden star destroyer! He directed his Sons to escape while the Palace held off the Imperial forces. The Clan withdrew from the battle and headed for their escape vector.

Empire of the Immortal

More than five thousand years before the Sons of Sadow settled on Sepros the planet was discovered by Urias Orian who was one of the Sith Lords. He was an exile who had willingly left the Sith Empire to pursue his own deeper in the Unknown Regions. He had journeyed to the system of planets now named after him to begin his own empire and pursue the fountain of eternal life. Urias Orian was a twisted alchemist who spent his life in isolation on Sepros until he turned himself to stone during a ritual intended to bestow him with immortality. His body lay silent until five millennia later his temple was raided by Kiln Tobasa and Trevarus Caerick and destroyed in a fierce battle.

More than a decade after the Great Temple was destroyed Trevarus Caerick returned leading Tron Sadow and his Sons to the system. Sadow Palace was re-established in one of the other ancient temples on Sepros. No longer under the watchful eye of the Imperial Remnant the three Houses took control of the entire system. The House of the Mentor claimed Tarthos, the House of the Great Battle took Aeotheran, and the House of the Rival established base on Dentavii.

The Ruination of the House of the Great Battle

Without the oppression of the Imperial Remnant the Sons of Sadow were able to spread their word without hindrance. In the privacy of the Unknown Regions even the watchful eye of the Jedi Knights could no longer impede the growth of the dark side. The Clan grew in strength under the ever faithful leadership of Tron Sadow and his Consuls eclipsing anything it had been under the corrupt regime of the Imperial Moffs and Governors.

More than a year had passed since the Sons of Sadow had settled at Orian when the Kem-Shu Maeda sparked a war that engulfed the Clans of the Brotherhood. Under the influence of Okemi, a Sith Lord who had been exiled by Marka Ragnos for an attempted uprising, Kem-Shu Maeda spread a corruption of the Force that turned whole Clans into mindless puppets. If not for the timely intervention of the Dark Lord of the Sith and the death of Okemi it is possible the entire galaxy could have fallen victim to the ancient Sith Lord.

The conflict was not without casualties. Many of the Disciples of Goluud had been killed in the fighting and not enough remained to continue their teachings. Those who had survived were forced to take shelter among the followers of Marka Ragnos and Ludo Kressh. The House of the Great Battle was left to fall silent in the empty halls of Aeotheran.
