Storyline
Summary
- On Port Ol'val, in Marick/Atyiru’s medical clinic...
- Atyiru gives birth to Kirra Aarave Tyris (first of her name...a true Arconan princess born of two former Arcona Consul’s...) without really processing the fact that she was in labor. When you’re a career medic with demi-god-like healing abilities, things just Hapanpen.
- Wyn tries to be supportive, but ends up fainting.
- Atty facetimes Marick to share the news, but Marick is in the middle of a firefight/on a mission.
- In Space...
- Marick, while investigating a derelict ship filled with hostile droids, is assaulted by speakers emitting high-intensity sound waves that disrupt his equilibrium and make it difficult for him to focus.
- Marick, overjoyed at becoming a father for the first time, loses his focus and walks into a trap.
- Despite fending off two MagnaGuard droids, he ultimately is thrown a twist as his comrade, Zig, attacks him.
- Zig, who was supposed to have been grabbing the data from the ships blackbox, is seemingly Mind Tricked into thinking Marick is her enemy.
- Turns out, Marick is caught in some kind of illusion. He’s restrained, beaten down, and captured by a man who reveals himself to be Rodrigue Tyris, his estranged father. (Dun Dun Dun).
- Wyn and Marick are half brothers, so Rodrigue is their shared father, while they have different mothers.
- Back on Selen...
- Kordath Bleu, Director of the Dajora Intelligence Agency (DIA), looks out his window and thinks that he sees giant robots attacking Estle city. Fortunately, it’s not actually giant robots, and just regular robots that are attacking. What else is new, though?
- In the Throne Room...
- A holovideo is played that was sent to the Arcona Summit as a threat/hostage negotiation
- Lucine has a headache from dealing with everything. It’s always fun to be Consul of Arc, kids.
- Marick has been captured and subdued, possibly drugged, possibly tortured, but clearly not in any state to break himself out.
- Rodrigue Tyris introduces himself fully, and reveals that he’s also recruited Zig to his team to help with his droid projects.
- Zig is clearly not herself, and under the influence of the Dominate Mind feat. She manages to resist, if only for a moment, and gets backhanded for her effort.
- Rodrigue then waves a hand in front of her face to Mind Trick the Zygerrian again, who numbly recites his words.
- Rodrigue then states his demands: he wants Arcona to relinquish control over their holdings in Port Ol’val to his organization. Second, he wants them to turn over his newborn granddaughter, hopefully of her potential in the Force.
- He then makes fun of Wyn, and ends the call by kicking Fela’s cage.
- Yes, Fela has been taken as well. You are not supposed to like this guy.
- Wyn explains that Marick had been close to uncovering Rodrigues organization, the Empty Eyes. This means that Wyn knows where they most likely are: Port Ol’val - The Ducts.
- But also, robots are attacking Selen.
- Lucine, being the badass she is, divides and conquers.
- Members of Arcona are given the video from the enemy antagonist.
