==Skirmishing Infantry==
Trained from the Dajorra System’s native Warrior caste, the Skirmishing Infantry form the backbone of the Arcona Armed Forces. Lightly armed and armoured, they are nevertheless trained in organised warfare and focus on acting in rural environments without support from armor or artillery.
History
The Skirmishing Infantry have seen action in almost every engagement in the Dajorra system since Clan Arcona arrived after the split and reorganised the native population into one cohesive society. Notably, they saw action in the attempted Hutt Invasion of Dajorra, and the subsequent successful Yuuzhan Vong invasion of Dajorra almost two years later. Due to the Yuuzhan Vong occupation, the Skirmishing Infantry Brigades had to withdraw to the wilderness and adopt a previously untested regimen of guerrilla tactics in order to survive in the countryside and still harass the Far Outsiders.
Deployment
Skirmishing Infantry are deployed throughout the Dajorra system primarily as a police force to maintain order and also defend against external threats. Due to their rarely being seen outside of Dajorra, there is little unrest caused by the Soldiers being kept away from home for long stretches of time.
Equipment
The Skirmishing Infantry, being light troops are given a standard set of fatigues with light armor plating covering their torso, shoulders and thighs. They also have a multi-functional helmet. Each soldier is expected to maintain his own survival kit which can keep him alive and well in the field for up to three weeks without needing replenishment, however each of the Skirmishing Infantry are given basic training in survival in a multitude of environments they’re likely to encounter on Dajorra should they need to operate separate of any Garrison they’re assigned to.
The standard trooper is trained to use an BlasTech A280 blaster rifle, L-23 blaster pistol, smoke grenades and fragmentation grenades. They were also trained in the basics of knife fighting and were each issued with a field vibro-knife for utility use as well as combat.
In addition to the ‘standard’ Skirmishing Infantry Trooper, each Platoon had 4 corpsmen, 4 E-Web units (requiring a crew of two troopers apiece) 4 mortar units (again requiring two soldiers to man) 4 sharpshooters (equipped with E-17d Blaster Rifles instead of the standard A280) and 4 troops using T-21 repeating blaster rifles. This allowed the Skirmishing Infantry to be incredibly mobile and also devastating against fellow infantry, however they were decidedly vulnerable to attacks from the air.
