Ugolino, Antenora’s only moon, has a standard range of climates throughout its surface. Acclivis Draco has built a small group of buildings in a temperate zone of the moon’s western hemisphere. This group of buildings, which are now connected – is now known as the “Silak Main Complex.” Far away from the Silak Complex, in the middle of a rainforest, lies the Wildlife Research Center. There are plans to maximise on the benefits of having a moon, including building hangars and small settlements.
Silak Main Complex
Separated into five different wings that branch off a large lobby that doubles as the cafeteria, the Silak Main Complex contains everything you need to live – in compact form.
The lobby is nicknamed “The Trap” and each wing is called a “quad,” which is short for “quadrangle,” even though two “quads” do not have four angles.
Originally built in 20 ABY under the guidance of Quaestor Vally Tamalar and Consul Lorad Desmos, the Silak Complex is Acclivis Draco’s first permanent project on Ugolino. Over the years, it has gone through several renovations, the most recent being in 27 ABY. Built in the middle of a wide grassy field that allows the landing of starfighters and light freighters easily, the Complex is constantly undergoing small changes like the system it is built in.
The two “Circles” serve as training grounds, an area for classes, and an overall tranquil place where work and meditation may be completed. In recent times, however, the Circles have even been used as racetracks for any Dark Jedi who needs to expel some built-up energy into high-intensity competition.
"The Trap"
There is no direct entrance into The Trap from outside; one must enter a quad to get to The Trap.
While the four sides of The Trap serve as portals to the quads, the first floor contains a majestic lobby. Wallpaper depicting the different life forms on Ugolino decorates the walls while wood from the moon’s forests serve as a gleaming hardwood floor.
The second floor serves as a dining hall for those staying at the Main Complex. The hall does not offer as much variety as Michael’s Union on Dragon Main does, but the hall is still impressive for its size.
Quadrangles
Each quad has a purpose that separates it from the others.
Quad A provides four dueling rooms for those too cowardly to brave the wilderness. These dueling rooms are also able to serve as classrooms or areas of assembly. Similar to the dueling rooms in the Timbal Training Facility on Antenora, each dueling room contains an elevated duracrete platform and a small seating area for up to five spectators.
Quad B’s two stories serve as a residence hall for Acclivis Draco members. Each room is approximately twenty square feet that contains a bed, a desk, and a chair. Other pieces of furniture may be brought into a dormitory room by the assigned occupant. Each of Quad B’s levels houses fifteen dormitory rooms and two small refresher units. Being located inside of the refresher unit for more than fifteen minutes is not tolerated and violators will be forcibly transported to a nearby forest.
Quad C contains office space and four conference rooms. Although it is one of the smaller quads, it usually has the most activity. Each office is carpeted and has the ability to “lock” itself for added security and privacy. To activate lock mode, the user has to go through an intense security system that includes a fingerprint scanner, three layers of passwords, and a voice recognition system. Once lock mode is activated, heavy curtains of durasteel slide over the door and windows.
Quad D shelters several landspeeders and other vehicles that the members of Acclivis Draco might need. Silak owns two X-34 landspeeders, one X-31 landspeeder, two Flare-S swoops, and one XR-10 Shadowhawk speeder bike. It is known that the Summit of House Acclivis Draco sold large varieties of spices and other drugs in order to amass such a large sum to buy the current collection of vehicles. To get a speeder out of the building, a four-digit security code must be entered at one of the doors. The garage’s floor is made of ferroconcrete.
Wildlife Research Center
The Wildlife Research Center of Ugolino, designed by then-Lance Corporal Xhor Delagon of Kraken Regiment’s 5th Legion: 507th Infantry in 23 ABY under the hand of Quaestor, later Consul, Vail Aquillarum Unteminar, is one of Acclivis Draco’s most important facilities. Scientific experiments and other projects are conducted in this secret facility, away from the general crowdedness at Silak and Dragon Main.
Built upon the principles of simplicity, efficiency, and safety (ideas that he loves to preach about), Major Delagon was, in fact, one of the construction workers who, literally, put the building together board-by-board.
Only those Acclivis Draco members at or above the rank of Dark Jedi Knight have the skill to locate the hidden entrance.
Hidden Entrance and Labs
As can be seen by the public blueprints, the Wildlife Research Center does not have an entrance that leads directly inside and outside of the building. Instead, a series of clues are given on the exterior walls of the building that force someone to be creative and use their brain in order to gain entrance to the Research Center.
Additionally, a seventeen-digit code, changed annually, must be entered once a person has found the entrance.
The Research Center contains two laboratories: Laboratory A and Laboratory B. Laboratory B contains the majority of experiments and projects; whereas Laboratory A requires three more security codes that are only known by the most powerful Equites and Elders of the House.
Each Laboratory contains standard equipment: large collections of flasks, vials, and graduating cylinders; crates full of herbs and other plants; gas and oil burners; and scalpels and knives. However, Laboratory B, unlike A, contains several rare items that have only been obtained through large dealings in the black market or missions to dangerous worlds, such as Korriban. In addition, Laboratory B hosts a very small collection of Force-sensitive wild animals that mainly serve as experiments or testers.
Plain, each Laboratory has walls and floors of durasteel and laminasteel, tables and chairs made from Greel wood from Pii III, and plasteel containers that held the aforementioned equipment items. Three custom-made plexisteel droids serve each laboratory and are ready to compute complex mathematical expressions, measure items, or fetch different tools.
Quarantine Chambers
Marked Areas C and D on the blueprints, the Research Center contains two quarantine chambers where experiments gone awry can be placed. Additionally, experiments that should not be touched by any stray hand can be placed into these chambers.
Each chamber is a rectangular box of durasteel and laminasteel, similar to the walls and floors of the Laboratories, and each has thirteen shelves that stretch upwards. The bottom shelves of these chambers have been used as storage space when experiments are not conducted in these chambers. The doors to these chambers have several large locks, and three security codes are required to open the door.
