Gaming Guild and Server Policy

This Gaming Guild and Server Policy covers member-run guilds and gaming servers for both supported and unsupported games. For the purpose of this policy “guilds” refers to any in-game guild, clan, player association or other static groupings of players within a game. “Servers” refers to any dedicated gaming server hosted by and for DJB members.

The goal of this policy is to provide clarity on the relationship between volunteer guilds/servers and the club leadership, as well as the use of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood name in such platforms.

Generally, in-game guilds and member-hosted gaming servers are unofficial, volunteer-run, and not required to submit gaming activity for clusters or competition credit. Volunteers who create or run such guilds/servers can register with the Fist staff to have their guild/server listed on the wiki and other official club channels for the convenience of the gaming community.

Nothing in this policy prevents the creation, designation or operation of “official” guilds or servers by the Council and Fist staff should the Council determine there is a need for one. “Official” guilds/servers are those created and run by the Council/Fist office. Guilds/Servers designated as official will be listed on this page and under the corresponding section of the Supported Games page.

Use of Dark Jedi Brotherhood-Related Names in a Guild/Server

Members are free to create and operate guilds and gaming servers using the name or tag “Dark Jedi Brotherhood”, “Dark Brotherhood”, “DJB”, “DB”, or the name of any independent unit or society of the Brotherhood provided that:

  • The Guild/Server is run consistent with the club values and standards of conduct contained in the Covenant and Rites of Combat, such as the prohibitions on harassment, discrimination, and cheating;
  • The Guild/Server is open to all DJB members regardless of unit affiliation;
  • The operators of the guild/server do not award purchased items, DLC, cosmetics, or other in-game perks with monetary value to particular members in a manner that violates the Real World Incentive Policy;
  • The Guild/Server registers with the Fist staff.

Registration

Any guild or server that has been created for Dark Jedi Brotherhood member use may be registered with the Fist office for listing on the wiki and other club channels of communication. Interested parties should email djb-fist-staff@googlegroups.com with the relevant information regarding what game the guild/server is for, who is the point of contact and a link or information on how to join.

Members running registered guilds/servers should also inform the Fist staff when leadership or join information changes so documentation can be updated.
