Kaltace is a planet in the Kr'Tal System, currently under control of Taldryan. It is the ninth orbit of the system's star, Kr'Tal. Kaltace is a small rocky planet devoid of any meaningful atmosphere.
History
The pock-marked surface of barren rock attests to a long history of impacts from rogue stellar debris. The Taldryan Expansionary Force decided soon after moving into the system that Kaltace would be ideal for a naval dock. The facility was built on the surface and is defended by heavy turbolaser batteries. There is room in the dock for three cruisers to land at any given moment as well countless hangars and bays for shuttles and fighters. On the other side of the planet, accessible only by a subterranean vacuum tube is a large bunker for the sole use of the Summit in times of emergency. Security is so tight around this facility that a private force of Force Sensitive soldiers and YVH-2 Droids will shoot even the highest-ranking officer of the Taldryan Expansionary Force on sight if not accompanied by the Quaestor or Aedile.
