Kasiya, also known as the water moon is a moon with a single landmass that would otherwise be described as a supercontinent. Its nitrogen seas stay liquid due to the extremely cold surface temperature which are churned by heavy winds. Residents are forced to take shelter from the biting front in domed cities.
Description
Kasiya's surface is mostly covered with water, except for one major land mass – a super continent. A tropical, volcanic island with a few rainy coastal lines that sport mediterranean climates and lush vegetation which is related to the bamboos found on the world of Anzat with red instead of green leafs and large drylands. As seen on other worlds at a similar evolutionary status, the atmosphere has a much higher concentration of gases, poisonous to most humans. The moon is home to the leaders of the Caelus Cartel who housed their private estates within a single, large biodome.
Geography
While 78% of Kasiya is covered by ocean, the rest of its surface is covered by a single supercontinent made up of a high, rocky coastlines with rich vegetation of a reddish color that flow seamlessly into large drylands that cover the majority of the landmass.
Climate
Kasiya has a cold climate, median temperature being -58°C. Liquid nitrogen oceans and heavy wins make the planet is a hostile living environment. Forcing the necessity of biodomes or other forms of shelter to ward from extreme frost.
Cities
Kasiya Prime
Kasiya Prime is the city built on Kasiya during the expansion of the Caelus Cartel. Built entirely with the aim of serving as private luxury estate upon the sole continent. It is nestled within a biodome that protects it against the harsh atmosphere of the moon. Inside the dome, the city was split into sectors, each named by its most high-placed resident. Located in the central part of the city is its spaceport, established to receive supply shipments through an automated process. Traversing the city was also largely automated with walkways and droid-piloted speeders serving as main modes of transportation. Despite the heavy urban atmosphere, several estates were surrounded by lavish gardens and parks with well trimmed vegetation; ranging from low shrubbery to trees so large they covered part of the biodome.
History
Pre-Taldryan
In the years following the colonization of the Caelus System and the routing of Imperial forces on Endor, the local Imperial leaders found themselves a measure of independence. The Clouzon-36 mined from Perune serving as a strong backbone to their finances, they rebuild themselves into a wealthy private business. With their wealth increasing vastly, the leaders wanted to create a statement of their wealth; resulting in the creation of the biodome city on Kasiya for their executive board.
