Project: Reboot Reform is a revision of the organizational initiative within Arcona (Project Reboot) that was designed to streamline the leadership structure of Arcona and intentionally develop leaders for the future growth and excellence of the unit. This document is intended to give the case for change behind the revisions and how Project: Reboot Reform will be practically applied to the leadership within Arcona.

Case for Change

At the implementation of Project Reboot, change was needed and while the initial idea behind it was good and the changes actually worked out quite well. However, during times like these, where we see a lull in activity the policy seemed both draining and a waste of resource on our leadership.

Battleteam Leaders and Rollmasters would try to contact our members time upon time again, and with the Shadow Oath officially being archived and cancelled due to new DB-Wide policies on rogueing, this often resulted in a lot of unresponsive members. This naturally results in a waste of resources and time but next to that it also would often result in demotivating our leadership. To stop this from happening we’re making some slight changes to the official Reboot policy.

Structural Changes

Just like with Project Reboot, Rollmasters will be functioning as Magistrate to the Quaestor/Aedile and/or welcoming new members to the house/clan. As usually upon joining new members will be assigned to a house, this is where they’ll be guided through the ranks by either Quaestor Aedile or Rollmaster. After reaching the rank of Acolyte a member is deemed to have proven himself worthy of a spot in a Battleteam. As each battleteam has their own fictional background story and purpose, a members is allowed to choose from any of the battleteams currently present in Arcona. This way, all inactive members are allowed to stay on the roster and have a longer time to become active once again, but will not take up space for potential new and active members looking to be part of a Battleteam. Joining a Battleteam is now something to work and strive for, something to be considered an honour to be allowed into the ranks of a specialized team.

Expected Results

Due to a minimal two man team working with new members up to the rank of Acolyte the workload of the battleteam leader will be lighter. With unresponsive members contacted by the house summit monthly up to six months they are giving chance upon chance again to once again become active. After a six month period the member will be declared inactive. Battleteam leaders will only be in direct contact with active members over the rank of Acolyte, and thus will be sufficiently less drained by inactive members. This ensures open spots in battleteams for members wanting to take place in official Clan fiction etc. Rollmasters/Magistrates will be either giving the job of welcoming and contacting new and inactive members, or when not as much needed by the house summit, will be under direct command of the Consul and Proconsul to work on Clan Projects.
