Deus Tarsus is currently a young child of Shadow Nighthunter and the late Brandon Tarsus , and has a twin brother named Artorias. He also has a younger half-brother, Sorin Remus Caldiren, who is the son of his stepfather Sanguis Caldiren.

Birth
Deus Tarsus was born in the year 35 ABY on Judecca, Scholae Palatinae's former homeworld in the Cocytus System. He was also born with a fraternal twin named Artorias. Like his twin, he was raised alone by his mother after their father had left. He would be reunited with his father not long after Shadow rescued the man from his death in an arena and brought him home. Not too long after that, the family would relocate to the Caperion System after the worlds of the Cocytus System was destroyed by the Iron Throne of the Dark Brotherhood.

Fatherless
When Deus was two, tragedy struck. Brandon Tarsus was killed in an ambush while out on a patrol with his wife. A funeral was held, the twins present with their mother. This loss would affect the family dramatically, spurring Shadow to step up and become the new Empress of Scholae Palatinae in 37 ABY while also causing his mother to sacrifice time with her sons in order to create a stronger and safer Empire for them.

More than a year into Shadow's reign, Sanguis Caldiren would enter the family's life. Starting out as a threat to Shadow, Sanguis Caldiren. Sanguis eventually became her personal body guard, and would eventually bond with the twins. Despite Deus' usual tendency to charge in with a war cry, Sanguis admired Deus' spirit and confidence. When he and Shadow were married after she faked her death and abdicated the throne to be with her family, he started to teach them basic Force skills. However, their official training wouldn't start until they were seven, with Sanguis respecting Shadow's promise to her late husband to let their sons choose their own path in life.

General Personality
Like his mercenary father, Deus is quick to charge into battle, charming, outgoing, and often gets himself into trouble. He is a natural-born leader, and is always willing to lend a hand. He cares deeply about his family, and loves his brothers despite their growing differences as they get older.
As a teenager and onward, he embraces the grey path with little care for the Sith, which often sets him at odds with Artorias and Sorin. He's still loyal to the Empire, and will serve regardless of his feelings unless it's something that radically goes against his values. He's not afraid to speak his mind, nor is he afraid to take charge when times are dire. He still respect his Sith parents, but he tends to spend time with his aunt Rasilvenaira StormRaven, happy to have someone who understands his frustration and concerns with the way of the Sith.
Physical Description
Deus has full human characteristics from his human father as well as Brandon's grey eyes with a tint of gold around the pupil. His brown hair is the only inherited physical traits of Shadow.
