Artorias Tarsus is currently a young child of Shadow Nighthunter and and the late Brandon Tarsus, and a twin brother named Deus. He also has a younger half-brother, Sorin Remus Caldiren, who is the son of Artorias' stepfather, Sanguis Caldiren.

Birth
Artorias Tarsus was born in the year 35 ABY on Judecca, Scholae Palatinae's former homeworld in the Cocytus System. He was also born with a fraternal twin named Deus. Like his twin, he was raised alone by his mother after their father had left. He would be reunited with his father not long after Shadow rescued the man from his death in an arena and brought him home. Not too long after that, the family would relocate to the Caperion System after the worlds of the Cocytus System was destroyed by the Iron Throne of the Dark Brotherhood.

Fatherless
When Artorias was two, tragedy struck. Brandon Tarsus was killed in an ambush while out on a patrol with his wife. A funeral was held, the twins present with their mother. This loss would affect the family dramatically, spurring Shadow to step up and become the new Empress of Scholae Palatinae in 37 ABY while also causing his mother to sacrifice time with her sons in order to create a stronger and safer Empire for them.

Sanguis Caldiren
More than a year into Shadow's reign, Sanguis Caldiren would enter the family's life. Starting out as a threat to Shadow, Sanguis Caldiren. Sanguis eventually became her personal body guard, and would eventually bond with the twins. He took an interest in Artorias, noting the younger twin's lack in physical strength compared to his brother while strong in the Force. When he and Shadow were married after she faked her death and abdicated the throne to be with her family, he started to teach them basic Force skills. However, their official training wouldn't start until they were seven, with Sanguis respecting Shadow's promise to her late husband to let their sons choose their own path in life.

General Personality
As a child, Artorias is quiet, observant, and often struggles with his confidence except when it comes to using some of his early, learned Force abilities such as Force Cloak. He often feels that he's not as good as Deus because of his twin's greater strength and open combat skills when they train.
As an adult, Artorias is quiet, very serious around strangers, but friendly around those he cares for; Artorias is observant and cunning like his mother. His relationship with Deus is strong, although they've had their fair share of disagreements. With Sorin, often finds himself on and off being close with his half-brother. He questions Sorin's methods often, but he also has respect for his ambitious sibling who isn't afraid to even stand up to Deus.

Appearance
Artorias shares more of his mother's Sephi characteristics with the exception of his white hair inherited from his father. Like his mother, he has shortened elfin ears and golden eyes.
