The Coming of a Seer
Vivid Dreams
Thirteen years after the great Battle of Yavin, upon the planet known as Alpheridies, a little girl was born and graced with the name ‘Suyo,’ or ‘Foresight.’ It would be whispered that this Miralukan child would have the ability to bring the forces around her to a focal point and catch glimpses of what is to come. This would, however, come at a price. Suyo’s ‘sight’ was unlike other Miraluka, with their vibrant displays of light and perception. Suyo’s sight was damaged and rapidly diminishing. It would be a logical assumption that by the time she grew to thirty, she would ‘see’ no more.
While Suyo was an infant, her parents Suyi and Sylin Kenshin kept her eyes blindfolded with a special wrap that negated her sight in hopes of preserving what little she still had. Unlike most of the Miraluka around her, Suyo’s body manifested itself eyes, even through they were useless due to how her species used ‘sight.’ This was not any thing of concern, but it certainly stood her out from the rest.
Beginning at the young age of five, Suyo began to experience very vivid dreams. These dreams would range from simple desires to the most dreadful of nightmares. After crying into her mother’s arms about the content of her dreams, she was cooed and calmed by Suyi's words. It would be only a year after her seventh birthday that several of her dreams would come true.
Academics
Throughout the next year, Suyo aided her mother as a scholar within the ‘Academy of Lore,’ the cities local academic hall. This brought boredom to Suyo’s eight year old heart, but she continued her mother’s bidding, learning all that she could in a short amount of time. A day came when Suyo was placing several series of book in order upon their respective shelves when a dark man passed by her. The girl’s sight suddenly flashed brightly and she slipped into unconsciousness as visions began manifesting within her mind.
What she saw were fires raging within the Academy with the man standing before them, with a triumphant look upon his face. When Suyo awoke, she quickly sought out her mother and told her of the vision. Suyi scolded her daughter, stating that it was only a dream and that none would dare destroy a place of history and learning, but Suyo wasn’t convinced. The young Kenshin decided that she would follow the man, in hopes of catching him in the act so that the beautiful Academy would not have to suffer. It did not take long, however, for Suyo surely found the man setting several books ablaze and tossing them into the shelves. Suyo quickly sought her mother once again, yelling of fire in the back. Sylin called forth the militia and apprehended the criminal, extinguishing the fires before any major damage could be done.
It was then that Suyo’s mother began to believe what her daughter’s dreams were saying. Suyo was now becoming the Seer in which all knew she would become. However, it was now that she would finally see foreboding changes that were to come.
A Change of Heart
Sights of War
It was a peaceful night when the vision struck young Suyo while she lay sleeping soundly in her bed. Yet again, there were fires. Yet with these fires came the cold chill of death and destruction. Wars raged upon the planets surface as rebellions rose to fight those reigning supreme.
Suyo ripped herself from her slumber and bolted out of bed. Within an instant, she was at her father’s side, whom was a commander in the cities militia, telling him of her visions. He listened to all that his daughter had to say, then sent forth word for a call to arms.
By the time Suyo reached the age of eleven, wars broke out across the planet. After dreaming more and more of the battles raging on, Suyo couldn’t help but feel that she could be beneficial to her father and the other commanders if she would use her sight to help them win the war. Her mother would not have it, however, and demanded that Suyo remained at the Academy and study. Though she did take her mother’s words to heart, Suyo decided otherwise and sought out her father on the battlefields.
It didn’t take long for the girl to find her father and when she explained her thoughts, he reluctantly agreed to her request. She was field initiated into his platoon and placed as a high advisor of battle. Many of the battles soon afterwards were won due to small insights that Suyo gave her father and she was praised for it. After the fifth battle won, word was passed that rebels were attempting to sabotage a chemicals plant in hopes to set off a chain reaction that would devastate several cities surrounding. Suyo, her father and the platoon soon set off towards the plant in hopes to thwart any attempts of sabotage before real damage was done.
As the platoon surged forward towards the chemicals plant, Suyo and her father stood a short distance away when the entire facility detonated in a massive explosion. The concussion of air that blasted outwards slammed into Suyo, sending the small girl into one of the vehicles behind her. Her head hit the vehicle causing her to become disoriented and her visions began to flicker while she was conscious. As she looked up into the sky, she noticed a shimmer almost like rain falling. Without realizing it, chemicals from the facility entered the girl’s unused eyes and imprinted the design of an orange sunburst upon them, marking her for life. Her head wound soon weakened her enough and she slowly feel into unconsciousness.
Journey into Darkness
A Family Friend
When Suyo awoke, she was at home, in bed, with her blindfold on. Muffled voices were creeping up the stairway and the girl removed her blindfold wondering who was talking. The first two voices belonged to her parents, but there was a third voice. It was soft, yet powerful, as if the owner of the voice knew a great deal. Suddenly Suyo looked towards her door as she realized who it was.
Jumping out of her bed, she raced down the stairs and stood before Ethran Sayre Isradia, a close family friend.
It seemed to be that Ethran offered to take the Kenshin girl with him to a place of learning far vaster than the simple Academy of Lore. This place was known as the ‘Shadow Academy’ and taught those studying there the ways of achieving strength through power. Suyo was instantly attracted to such a place, as she loved learning, but also loved the physical aspect of ‘power.’ Sylin instantly agreed but Suyi did not. She did not was her daughter to leave to some strange place and probably never hear from her again. Suyo made it very clear that this wasn’t up for debate and went to pack her belongings to leave with Ethran. When she glided back down the stairway, Ethran was nowhere to be seen. Sylin informed Suyo that their old ‘family friend’ mentioned returning in a year or so before he would even think about taking the young girl with him. This infuriated Suyo and she stormed out of the house and into the night.
Over the next year, Suyo learned all she could from her father of the arts of self defense and how to use tonfa based weaponry. She was particularly fond of the ‘jutte,’ as it could also be used as a sword breaker with its extra addition on the side. To Sylin’s amazement, his daughter grew into a very formidable militant, just as he did when he was young. His daughter’s movements were fluid and pure, as if she already had the knowledge pre-inserted into her mind before taking up the weapons. This brought joy to his heart and he halted her training as they made their way home for the evening.
Dark Jedi Brotherhood
When Suyo and her father entered their house, they were greeted warmly by Suyi and Ethran sitting beside a lit fireplace. It seemed that the year had passed by and it was time for Suyo to finally travel with Ethran to the Shadow Academy. Her bag was already packed and sitting next to the Anzat ancient as he eyed the young Miraluka with a crooked smile. Sylin patted his daughter’s shoulder and whispered his biddings of good luck as the girl ran to her mother and hugged her dearly.
A firm hand was placed on Suyo’s shoulder as Ethran beckoned her to follow and the two of them made their way out of the door and to a landing pad which held the Anzat’s shuttle. It was here where Suyo finally encountered her first great fear.
As the shuttles engines roared to life, Suyo gripped her seat fiercely in hopes that the shaking would halt in her doing so. The transport slowly rose into the air, causing the girl to whimper slightly, feeling as if she could fall at any moment, yet not doing so.
Ethran simply chuckled at the young girl’s fright of flying and continued his trajectory into the blackness of space. The sight of the stars astonished Suyo, as she had never encountered the sight of space before. The stars slowly slid by as the shuttle continued its course towards its final destination.
Suyo’s second friend occurred when the engines cut off to allow the hyperdrive to initiate and propel the shuttle at such a high velocity that the stars around them blurred into simple bright lines. Suyo kept her mouth shut as a whimper attempted to reveal itself, but soon slipped into the darkness of her mind as her body could not handle the stress any longer.
When Suyo next awoke, the shuttled had been landed and the Anzat had carried her from it to a bed within a large building so she could rest peacefully. The walls were dark and pictures of warriors and scholars were plastered upon them. The Miraluka did not know where she was, but the sights that entered her explained a great deal, as well as left a lot of unanswered questions. When Ethran came to fetch her, she noticed that he seemed ablaze with fiery light, at least to her vision.
Ethran took the girl to another building and had her enrolled within the Shadow Academy, where she would learn to be initiated into the Dark Brotherhood and learn the secrets of the Force that many others would not dream to dip into. She was to learn about the power in which the Dark Side could offer her and eventually, learn to take hold of such power and use it to do her bidding.
The Shadow Academy
Having been a scholar prior to enrolling in the Shadow Academy, Suyo quickly learned her material and passed her initial testing very quickly. Her speedy processing brought admiration from her ‘trainer’ within the Academy and Suyo quickly began learning more about the basics on the ruling systems within the Brotherhood. It wasn’t long before the young girl was considered competent enough to graduate from the Academy and was placed within her new ‘home;’ House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow.
Clan Naga Sadow
When first arriving to the Clan’s Headquarters, Suyo was a bit frightened. A lot of things were happening to her in a very short amount of time and she didn’t exactly know how to react towards it.
After several formal introductions to her immediate superiors and the Clan Leaders, Suyo was set to work as she had been thrown directly into the middle of a feud between the two Houses of the Clan. It seemed that House Ludo Kressh was, unfortunately, barely trailing behind the rival house of Marka Ragnos.
Shortly after joining the Clan, Suyo was making her way through one of the many buildings that belonged to the Clan. She didn’t exactly know where she was headed, but she felt the need to stay out of sight in order to be slightly out of mind. Without realizing it, however, Suyo had turned a corner and nearly ran right into the Brotherhood’s Herald; Shikyo Keibatsu. No words were exchanged, but a great deal of information was passed between the two as the girl slid by and disappeared into the many halls.
It was not long after that when the two would meet again, this time with Suyo as Shikyo’s Apprentice; the two preparing to conduct a mission of not only importance, but training for the now Guardian Suyo Kenshin.

Personality
Suyo, being young, still has those traits found in general childhood. Though she is within the Brotherhood and is consciously aware of what her training is for, she is still easily entertained by that in which she enjoys and can become easily frightened by anything that she would find 'scary.' However, under extreme circumstances, her training under her father will kick in and she will remain perfectly calm, in even the most dire of situations.
