Ozosi Vym is a Gray Force Adept (Dark Side leaning) who was found by Whitehorn and eventually recruited for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, namely the House Hoth section. She eventually met with Celevon, who would become her Mentor, after Whitehorn introduced Ozosi to the Aedile of House Hoth.
Character History
Life on Shili (Birth to 16 ys)
Ozosi Vym was born into the universe a typical birth upon the planet of Shili. She was given her name and celebrated as the tribal leaders could feel the expression of the Force from the wee child just minutes after her birth. She was born sensitive, a trait very common yet for such a child of a tribe cast out from the mainland. To be born so sensitive was a feature desired by many, even from such explorers from other galaxies and planets.
Years played quickly, aging the child ever so gentle as Ozosi learned to tap into her Force sensitivity as tribal companions of hers were able to do so as well. By age five, Ozosi was able to connect with the Force stronger than most of her tribe, yet not as any true master could. She could sense the places around her, timelines playing across her mind as she allowed herself to immerse into their worlds. Other tribes upon the planet could be felt in mere seconds as she reached her invisible hands out to greet them with careful caress. Each day Ozosi would slowly journey off away from the tribe’s territory to explore the more interesting landmarks.
Around the age of 10 years, Ozosi continued to excel in the ways of the Force, learning to tap into the ground beneath her as well over the past 5 years. As all Togruta tend to do, Ozosi walked barefoot across the land without fear. The connection she had with the planet below gave her a sense of wonder and peace. Not only could she feel the spirit of the entire planet within contact, she could feel the emotions and the thoughts of the beasts around her. In regards to the planet and the beasts around her, she was provided her education about the beasts by the tribe’s Force Adept Grand Master. She learned about the worship of the Great Beasts who roamed around the planet, assuring order and harmony were maintained. One such Great Beast which gain her attention of Zuka, the Great Beast of the Southern Waters. This creature roamed the only water within the territory of her tribe, and Ozosi would be graced with His presence.
One such day after attending to her lessons by the Grand Master, Ozosi went to the waters of the territory to meditate and focus upon her abilities with the Force, but fate would have her be washed away within a large wave into the waters and almost drown before the Great Beast, Zuka, appeared to rescue her. During the process, Ozosi’s vision blackened and she fainted, only to wake up upon the shores with a few large stones of lapis color around her body. She accepted these stones as gifts from Zuka, bringing them with her to the Grand Master. The Grand Master stated this was a great gift and should be worn at all times to celebrate Ozosi being chosen as the Child of Zuka.
A roughly 6 more years pass and Ozosi finds herself around the age of 16. She is more attuned with the world around than ever before, meditating by the waters to connect with Zuka. As she meditates, she begins to feel the pull of an outside interest… A Jedi Temple. Ozosi stops her meditation and starts to follow the vision of which she experienced while connecting to Zuka. As she walks through the forest surrounding the northwest side of the territory and finds the markers of which are painted signs of her tribe. A large diamond with a slightly smaller circle was scratched into a large tree while another symbol of twin arrows point at one another which designated there was a great power but this power was evil and needed to be warded off. She stared at the symbols for a long time and then took a set upon the root of the tree. Meditating, she began to see visions of her journey towards a large temple of which she would then follow outside of her meditation. She tread through the forest more, breaking the vow to never leave the territory, and eventually found herself at the ruined steps of a large temple. Days pass as she stayed within this temple, meditating and experiencing visions of previous Togruta as powerful warriors. She began to draw these visions upon the walls of the ruined temple and experienced the most absolute joy. Some of the text found upon the walls told stories of many Togruta "Jedi". Jedi was a new word for Ozosi, but the more she meditated on the word, the more she saw in her visions.
Almost nearly a week after her discovery, Ozosi ventured back to her tribe, only to be told she could not leave the territory. Because she was the chosen Child of Zuka, she was merely given a warning and told never to leave again until she was given permission to do so. Months past, leaving Ozosi feeling the need to leave back to the temple for futher education and even attempting to train herself in the ways of the Jedi. More months past and eventually Ozosi decided to leave the tribe, leaving a message that she would not be returning. She left towards the temple, staying there for a few days before experiencing a vision of members from her tribe venturing to the temple to find her. She took this time to leave for good, venturing further from the territory and the temple to find a large city, Corvala. Most of the members within the city here were only traders, attempting to trade their goods across the stars. Weaving through the traders, Ozosi eventually found a group of mercenaries who seemed to be upset in regards to the status of this planet, the goods from most of the traders, and generally had the impression this planet was of lower class.
The next step for Ozosi was to impress the mercenaries, which she started to play with the Force within her mind, pulling at one of the members of the group to gain the attention of the mercenaries. When she gained enough of their attention with her Telekinesis, Ozosi found herself aboard their ship, becoming a member and leaving Shili behind.
Life in Clan Odan-Urr/House Hoth
In the beginning of her journey within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Ozosi was escorted to the planet of Solyiat after boarding the ship Whitehorn borrowed during his mission to another sector of space. As she followed Whitehorn, she contemplated the reality of her decision to join the ranks of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, namely the same clan of which Whitehorn was assigned. When she first met Whitehorn, Ozosi thought of the man as what many humans a “Lone Wolf” and what Togruta referred to as Sahaya Waquii. She had never heard of people being lone, living her entire life within the tribe of Zuka and always being connected to the land beneath her feet. To be alone was as if you were dead to the Togruta people.
When she landed upon the surface of Solyiat, just near the Trepus Mines, Ozosi took to taking off her leather boots and began to walk barefoot across the ground, getting a feel for the planet should would soon refer to her Somtaqa Awenaqa (Other Home). Whitehorn warned her about the extreme cold, but Ozosi ignored and continued to walk across the land for a short period of time before placing her boots back on. The planet felt alive, but in pain. She could not understand why, but this would be something she would constantly ponder about.
While on the island of Trepus, Ozosi continued to make attempts at figuring out Whitehorn as they walked to meet with his contact within the House Hoth of Clan Odan-Urr. She desired to learn more about who she would be connecting with from this point on as Shili had become a distant memory, knowing she could never willingly return. She wanted to join the Jedi, believing the Order to still exist so strongly that she would be crushed if her dreams and hopes were untrue.
Once she met with the Aedile of House Hoth, Ozosi got an impression from him as well as felt embarrassed when Whitehorn pointed out he was reading her mind. It took merely minutes of having her mind invaded for her to realize the strength of those she would join the ranks of and Celevon, who would become her mentor.
Physical Description
Ozosi Vym is a slender yet curvaceous woman whose skin is that of an off-tan hue with the large, horn-like projections of her montrals patterned with white and sapphire tiger stripes. The tips of the montrals are colored blue at their tips that curve in opposite directions and bottoms of the long, trailing headtails which reach her waist. Ozosi’s eyes are a sapphire blue tint with a touch of sky blue rings within her irises, her face decorated with white markings: a band which follows from the tip of her nose upwards into a slightly manipulated triangle, the wide base fitting to the curve of her forehead so that it looks as if her montrals are slowly fading downwards; a set of rounded, oblong circles which change in shape slightly at the bottom into a curvature which rounds out around her cheekbones towards her nose; and, underneath these, two slightly tilted parallelograms extending in lines which are separate from her cheek bone markings, coming from the sides of her face. Similar markings, all also white, appear elsewhere on her body, lining her shoulders and her thighs, while diamond-shaped patterns sit upon the backs of her hand and the tops of her feet, climbing halfway up her leg to just below the knee.
Ozosi’s decorative accessories consist of off-gold bands which wrap around her montrals and headtails in a loosely fitted attachment. A headpiece of the same material sits upon her head, just under the base of where the montrals meet her skull. Lapis colored gemstones are embedded in the headpiece at the forehead and the sides of her face, just near the temples; the bands around her montrals and headtails meet at the gemstones near her temples as a focal point. Strung gemstones of the same material flow from these focal points, a longer one trailing from the back of the headpiece to sway behind her.
Typically, Ozosi wears a dark tan cloak over a lightly tanned bodice, which straps up in the front and has pieces of fabric that trail behind her. The low-cut shirt under her bodice is white and ruffled, sometimes slipping off her shoulders to reveal more skin, though nothing too scandalous. She prefers to wear loose-fitted bottoms in a shade of plum, complete with sturdy dark leather boots.
