The Gallofree-Class Medium Transport has a much maligned history, much of it earned. The modular approach to cargo storage, originally meant to make things easier to store, instead became a maintenance nightmare, thus sentencing this ship class to an early demise. Usually operated by those that can't afford better Corellian transport vessels, this class is universally disliked.

History

A participant of the battle in which the Valkyrie was captured, the Dragon’s Find was being crewed by the pirates that also owned the Valkyrie. Interestingly enough, after its’ capture, the ship was found to be in an almost-pristine shape, although virtually everything inside of the ship had been stripped out, laying the inside bare. After closer examination, some internal modifications were found that possibly suggested that the pirates were planning to convert the ship to a fighter carrier. Due to the construction of the ship, this would have been a fairly easy task, although it would be questionable to keep so many fighters in a non-warship. Still, it would have given the pirate fleet an effective means to bring a squadron of fighters in on a battle, which is an advantage that few enjoy.

Then-Consul Vail Aquillarum Unteminar, shortly after the capture of the ship, had the ship brought back to factory specs. An unremarkable ship in many ways, it was usually the source of most supplies that the Clan receives from outside sources.

Operation: Reclamation

The Find was not present during the initial Yuuzhan Vong invasion over Caina, as it was attending to other duties, but it did arrive in time to be included in a hastily formed task force that was organized to chase down the remnants of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet that had raided the Clans' home system. Since the majority of the warships were in desperate need of repairs, a bunch of spare parts were loaded on the Find as well as on its' sister ship, the Dragonsbarge, and attached to them.

The task force had received word of two frigate-analogs that were nearby, and they jumped in after them to destroy them. However, the Yuuzhan Vong sprung their own trap on the small force, and the frigate-analogs moved in for the easy kills. The Find was destroyed mere minutes after the Dragonsbarge was destroyed. There were no survivors amongst the crew.

Deployment

The Find was being commanded by Captain Ric-De Shlon, executing the ship's main mission which involved the trade of Clan resources outside of the Clan's system. The ship was previously never allowed in combat, and if it were to accidentally stray into one, its' orders were to clear the area as soon as possible.
