| So, am I not allowed to edit by section, even with this warning? Seems to me that a few more additions to the recent changes log would be preferable to saving 77kb every time I find a spelling mistake or add a few lines. | | * The warning that you are referring to, ''WARNING: This page is 77 kilobytes long'', is an auto-script from MediaWiki that we ignore - it will not effect your saves in any way. Having numerous saves in one day by one individual on the same article is considered rude by the Wiki Staff for this one reason - It clutters and creates more work for us. It is a lot easier, and strongly recommended, that when editing an article you do it in Notepad (or whatever works for you) first. For example, copy what you are going to edit (''if it is a completely new section then do not worry about it - we'll focus on older stuff right now'') and paste it in Notepad or whatever and add/subtract information and then copy/paste it over the old stuff, do a Show preview and see how it looks - if you do not like it then repeat what you just did and edit it in Notepad or whatever again. Do this until it looks good and then do one save. It is the same amount of bytes saved (''if you are worried about that for Clan activity purposes'') and it does not clutter the recent changes. |

| | :As for your other comment, no I do not need to get in the last word - the reason I refer many to the fact that arguing with me is pointless is because on past occasions we have had to deal with individuals who want nothing but to argue over nothing because they want to look like the rebellious minority who one ups the powers that be. I do not see you as that type of person, but I have to make that warning standard amongst posts just in case. I'm not looking for a fight, I leave that work to [[Kir Katarn|Kir]]. --[[User:Tron|Tron]] 17:53, 4 June 2009 (MDT) |

Show preview
Remember to use the "Show preview" button to see previews of your edits before actually saving them to the Recent changes page. Thanks. (By the way, if you want your account renamed, let me know.) -- RevengeX Palpatine 12:46, 30 July 2008 (MDT)
- 2nd Warning. --Tron 19:50, 1 June 2009 (MDT)
With regards to the 2nd Warning, I dont see how this applies to what I have been doing recently. My page is too long to edit completly every time, and the edits I made were in sections. Two were Minor changes that I think were spelling mistakes, one was removing a couple useless sections, and the most recent on was an addition.
I have been using the Show Preview button where applicable. So I dont think a second warning fits here. (I even used Show Preview on this page) -- Archangel 19:22, 2 June 2009 (MDT)
Fair enough. I can get banned for talking back and you have the last word. However, this does not answer one of my problems. The length of my page is such that I get the following warning when I try to edit the entire thing:
WARNING: This page is 77 kilobytes long; some browsers may have problems editing pages approaching or longer than 32kb. Please consider breaking the page into smaller sections.
So, am I not allowed to edit by section, even with this warning? Seems to me that a few more additions to the recent changes log would be preferable to saving 77kb every time I find a spelling mistake or add a few lines. And it's not as if I post every day... -- Archangel 15:27, 4 June 2009 (MDT)
