Case closed.  Now that the Character Sheets are being put into place, a whole slew of other projects, hopefully including the possessions system, will be moving into their final stages.  This means that 99% of personal ships will become soot and moot, thus leading the way to the Wiki Staff's realism check.  Everyone be nice to each other, etc. --[[User:RevengeX|RevengeX Palpatine]] 11:55, 6 December 2008 (MST)

Featured

  • If you want this taken seriously for Featured Article consideration, please clean up the article. You can start with your "trivia" to be something of actual interest. Remove all the nonsense.

--

  • My trivia is incredibly interesting - so much so that a lot of the stuff that was in it wasn't trivia that I wrote. Besides, declaring my eternal love for Sashar and Karel is nonsense? Do I detect homophobia? You just hate what you don't understand! :'(

As for "taken seriously"...people taking this wiki shit too seriously is the problem. The amuont of people that have their head up their asses over text, by Slice... - Xayun

  • I moved the top picture so it wasn't in the way, and also edited around the format a little just to make it prettier. Btw, write a short summary at the top, for skimming purposes and because if your article is featured we use that as the featured summary-- Aabs 15:36, 21 June 2007 (MDT)

Fighting Skill

  • You don't have self developed ass-kickery. Stop adding that to your wiki. Thanks. --
  • I'm pretty sure you don't have a robotic leg. <3 - Xayun
  • Fictionally, I do. It's on my Character Sheet. I checked yours, there's nothing about Self Developed Ass Kickery as a fighting style, or even as a custom weapon. --
  • Because I don't use my Character Sheet (or because I don't actually have one). Because putting a fighting style as a custom weapon is known as "retarded", or "special" if you're of the politically-correct vein. So here's the thing; the wiki is used for the fictional development aspects of your characters, so I'm just going to go ahead and re-add stuff because it's "fictional development". Cheers. - Hugs and kisses, Xayun
  • Ass-kickery isn't a fighting skill. If you truly have to have it on your page, I would put it in the Trivia section --Aabs 10:54, 10 July 2007 (MDT)
  • Maybe I'm not seeing something here (and I apologize in advance if I'm being "special" today), but it should be allowed to put in jokes and funny items like "Self Developed Ass-Kickery". -- RevengeX Palpatine 14:02, 10 July 2007 (MDT)
  • It's supposed to be a store of relevant DB info, not crap. --
  • Does that go for talk pages too? Because the aforementioned slang for excrement applies to every above comment signed with the ridiculous cat image.

But as an aside, if you're going to make it about "relevant DB info" - and by that, I'm going to assume you mean carbon copies of characters sheets and/or histories, like you seemed to imply earlier - then there's absolutely no need for character wiki pages. Ouch. - Xayun

The character wiki pages are NOT to replace the dossier or their informational use. The wiki pages are to give information relating to the character that would not be found on the dossier or any of it's links and vice versa. For example, you would NOT list medals earned (save for "Sacramental Awards") or gradluated Shadow Academy classes. Also, information that is for comical enchancement or such would not be allowed, you can make your own webpage and have silly nonsense relating to your character there. If you are not going to be reasonable and continue to act as an immature child about this then we'll have to take it to the next level. --Tron 20:01, 10 July 2007 (MDT)

  • Holy hell, both of you (I mean Vladek AND Xayun) need to cut shit out, it's pointless and childish, end it. --Kir Taldrya Katarn 18:23, 16 September 2007 (MDT)

Talk Pages

  1. Don't insult people on talk pages
  2. I left a message on the image talk page and one on the article it originated with - you might have noticed that I left a query sometime back on the image talk page and the creator did not talk back.
  3. We try to keep our sci-fi in the same universe. Katanas were a bad example on your part since the Star Wars universe uses several different forms of swords - some of which reflect katana features (several bladed weapons come to mind from the SW RPG books).

--Tron 20:21, 4 December 2008 (MST)

"Reflect katana features"? Is that it? I can think of plenty of swords from science fiction and fantasy that reflect katanas. I just don't recall anyone apart from us ever calling them katanas. As for your first point, is there some sort of list for who's allowed to be belligerent and who isn't? -- Xayun

  • belligerent (as defined at dictionary.com) - 1. warlike; given to waging war. 2. of warlike character; aggressively hostile; bellicose: a belligerent tone. 3. waging war; engaged in war: a peace treaty between belligerent powers. 4. pertaining to war or to those engaged in war: belligerent rights.–noun 5. a state or nation at war. 6. a member of the military forces of such a state.
  • The Wiki Staff has the authority to be blunt with anyone since many members are hardheaded and it is necessary to get the point across to them.
  • Reflect, yes, they look like a katana but Star Wars calls them vibro-blades. Now disputing what weapons or ships is allowed is not the issue here. There is a reason certain species are not allowed in the DB and so it goes for other Sci-Fi things, such as starships. Keep it Star Wars unless approved by the powers that be.
  • Please review the Guidelines under disagreements. --Tron 19:11, 5 December 2008 (MST)
