Unfortunatley for him dark rumours concerning cheating quickly became accusations and he liquidated his assets and began to search for somewhere to hide out. He eventually turned up in Seng Karash in the Orian system attracted by its remote location and comfortable lifestyle. After attending a party at the Mayor's residence he entered into conversation with Malisane, the then Planetary Governor, where the idea of Dystopian Leisure started, as both wanted a place to invest funds discreetly. Vila spends a great deal of his time relaxing at Dystopia but is not acknowledged publicly as an investor.

Though the Yuuzhan Vong invasion was initially profitable for Smarsk, eventually with many of his previous markets collapsing he has made his way to Orian, trying to peddle his wares there. Unfortunatley his activities came to the attentions of Governor Malisane de Ath, who had the merchant secretly abducted under the nose of the Dlarit Police. Though initially intending on killing him Malisane, in need of additional  funds and impressed by his previous operations, offered the trandoshan a stake in Dystopian Leisure, convincing him that legitimate seeming business would be more profitable, that by offering high quality substances he would have a profitable monopoly in Dystopia, and that it was better than death. Smarsk agreed.

Established in late 27 ABY, Dystopian Leisure is the holding company that owns and runs the Dystopia entertainment facility in the city of Seng Karash.

Dystopian Leisure has recently been employed by the Dlarit Corporation as a management organization to run the island resort of Lor Zatean on the planet Aeotheran.

Though currently it's main focus are Dystopia and Lor Zatean, it is planned in the future that the company will diversify into other leisure ventures such as other venues, tours of the home and neighbouring systems, and training and survival courses.

Dystopia Leisure's administration currently operates out of the basement offices of the Dystopia facility.

The company is rumoured to be releasing more shares in the near future to other interested investors in order to raise capital needed to expand its current operations.

Directors and Investors

The company has not as yet been floated on the stock exchange and is currently owned by a consortium of silent investors. The the public face of this is Managing Director Jenna Talith

The previous Managing Director and founder of the company Malisane de Ath resigned from the board in early 29 ABY and though keeping his shares and receiving dividends is no longer involved in running the company.

Jenna Talith

Jenna was the daughter of Coruscanti shipping magnate Kelden Talith, who worked hard building up a fleet of freighters transporting goods to the outlying regions of the galaxy from the core worlds.

Following her fathers death in 24 ABY she took over his business interests at the age of 28. Though she ran the company successfully for three years, opening new trade routes including contracting work for the Dlarit Corporation, she has recently sold much of her fleet following the Vong Invasion, retaining a small number of freighters and shuttles including the Liberator

As a friend of Vila she was invited to join Dystopian Leisure and has provided both funds and the fleet of shuttles and freighters used to transport customers to and from Dystopia and cheap but high quality supplies to the venue.

Since Malisane's resignation Jenna was named Managing Director.

Vila Revane

Vila is a Corellian gambler who made his fortune gambling on such ventures as pod racing on Tatooine and Umgullian blob racing, and developed himself a fast ships and faster women playboy lifestyle as one of the new rich.

Unfortunately for him dark rumours concerning cheating quickly became accusations and he liquidated his assets and began to search for somewhere to hide out.

Smarsk Avon

Smarsk is a Trandoshan who before joining Dystopian Leisure described himself as a freelance merchant. The precise nature of his operations has always been vague, though he has turned up on various law enforcement organizations records over the years as dealing in narcotics, slaves, weapons and gemstones, working independently rather than as part of a larger organization and occasionally employing staff and chartering vessels on a strictly money only, no questions asked basis.

Though the Yuuzhan Vong invasion was initially profitable for Smarsk, eventually with many of his previous markets collapsing he has made his way to Orian, trying to peddle his wares there. Unfortunately his activities came to the attentions of Governor Malisane de Ath, who had the merchant secretly abducted under the nose of the Dlarit Police.

He now works with Jenna arranging to have substances and less well known foods and liquors shipped in with the normal supplies.

Travis "The Captain" Syren

Travis, known by the others as The Captain was actually once a real captain of an Imperial Class Destroyer. Despite a long career and having served as a lieutenant at the battle of Endor, he was unlucky enough never to get to lead a vessel in a major battle despite many years of command, largely being by no fault of his own in the wrong place at the wrong time during Thrawn and Daala's campaigns.

He grew increasingly frustrated and resentful about this, and eventually turned to profiteering, using his position making money selling supplies, equipment, fighters and in one case a corvette on the black market under the nose of his superiors, fencing the large amount of money he made with a number of dubious organizations.

When news of an impending internal investigation into his activities reached him he fled, roaming the galaxy fearing retribution. Through his previous ship dealing activities he came to know Jenna who eventually inducted him into Dystopian Leisure, giving him a legitimate venture to invest his embezzled funds.

Travis disappeared in 29ABY along with the Liberator and her crew and has not been seen since. His whereabouts are unknown.
