Ish Erinos, born Isshwarr, was a Mandalorian Warrior selected for the Fade Initiative and sworn to Terran Koul. A Wookiee from Kashyyyk, she was an expert tracker and proficient hand-to-hand combatant. Armed with extensive training in electronics and mechanical engineering, she was adept at repairing anything from weapons to vehicles and could bypass most security systems with relative ease.

Physical Description

"Would somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?"
―Princess Leia referring to Chewbacca

Isshwarr was a statuesque Wookiee female in most respects. Standing just over two meters tall and covered in tan fur, she cut an imposing figure in most company. Her bronze eyes, with hints of red that sparkled when the light hit them just right, often had a sad tint to them. A pair of long scars crisscrossed her back, testament to her time as an Imperial slave. Unlike the majority of Wookiees, Isshwarr was fond of clothes, often decorating herself with loose-fitting, draping garments in shades of red or tan. The logo of the Fade Initiative, red on black, was tattooed just below her right shoulder.

Eschewing Mandalorian customs, she carried few weapons. Though she was seldom seen without the traditional Wookiee bowcaster strapped to her back, more prominent were the plethora of hydrospanners, datapads, and other mechanical and electronic tools that she hung from her belt or tucked into pockets in whatever drapery-like garment she was wearing.

History

"Some days it feels like the forests were the only place I could see a clear path."
―Isshwarr to Terran Koul, on their lives as Bounty Hunters
A Kashyyyk Village

A native of Kashyyyk, Isshwarr and her mate, Nagatti, raised a half dozen children in relative peace among the wroshyr trees of their homeworld. Then the Clone Wars broke out. Despite initial attempts at remaining neutral, the Wookiees eventually felt compelled to take up the cause of the Jedi. That was their undoing as a species. Nagatti and all four of Isshwarr's sons died during the war. In the dark period that followed, the Empire enslaved the Wookiee people, using them as forced labor on- and off-world. Isshwarr's two daughters died under the harsh rule of their Imperial taskmasters, as did many of her extended family.

In time the Wookiees were liberated by the Alliance, and Isshwarr attempted to make a new life for herself on Kashyyyk. The memory of her lost family was too strong, and her attempt proved short-lived. Feeling adrift from her own people, even in their midst, she determined to venture out into the galaxy. Before the war, Isshwarr had possessed a keen interest in engineering. That interest held her in good stead, allowing her to find plentiful work repairing vessels at any number of ports across the galaxy. Though the pay was good, and most of her employers treated her well, she grew bored and often found herself ruminating on all that she had lost under the Empire. She considered, for a time, joining the New Republic, but the continued war with the Imperial Remnant was still in full swing and despite her anger at the Imperials she wanted nothing to do with the bloodshed that would entail. Instead, she hired on to a smuggler's crew out of Nar Shaddaa, handling security and repairs for an aging Barloz-class medium freighter.

The work paid well, and she soon amassed a small fortune from their frequent - and frequently successful - smuggling operations. She was content for a time, but eventually her crew's missions came to feel routine and left her too much time to lose herself in remembrances of Nagatti and her children. That was when she encountered Kolot. She became acquainted with the temperamental Ewok while smuggling a thousand crates of Whyren's Reserve off of Corellia. He had been a pilot for a legitimate shipping concern and was bored of his life as well. The two took a liking to each other immediately and agreed that it was time to go into business for themselves. Pooling their resources, they purchased the Indecorous Arrangement, a YT-2400 in good repair, and began taking on their own smuggling contracts.

The pair worked small jobs at first, each trickier than the next, and soon made a name for themselves as a crew that could always get the job done, no matter how difficult it might be. More interested in the job than the score, they were often far from wealthy. But the one thing they never were was bored.

The YT-2400 light freighter Indecorous Arrangement

Isshwarr met Terran Koul on Nar Shaddaa in 34 ABY and helped him recover a priceless piece of Verpine art for a less-than-reputable client. The trio crossed paths several times over the next two years, on Nar Shaddaa, Correllia and Coruscant. Kolot warmed to Terran, coming to respect his fiery temper even as he remained disdainful of the Kiffar's meager piloting skills. As for Isshwarr, she seemed to treat both like children in need of a parent to watch over them. Eventually they decided to make their intermittent associations permanent. Though they settled on Nar Shaddaa, their home was aboard the Indecorous Arrangement, wherever their cargo or recovery jobs took them.

At first the trio ran confidence schemes and larceny jobs, in addition to their smuggling. In time, they branched off into Bounty Hunting as well. The work appealed to both Isshwarr's and Kolot's hunter natures, and it paid better, which was enough incentive for Terran; and if Kolot occasionally ruffled under the alive-only stipulation that the Wookiee and Kiffar insisted on, he enjoyed the work enough to let it slide. As their metaphorical star rose, and the group began being offered more lucrative contracts, they were even able to upgrade their aging YT-2400 light freighter for a Horizon-class Star Yacht - heavily modified, of course.

After nearly a year of successful Hunting, the trio seemed to disappear. They stopped replying to job offers, and even their known associates ceased to hear from them. Then, several months after their last Hunt, Terran showed up on Selen, requesting to join the Brotherhood. Coincidentally, Isshwarr had joined the Erinos Clan just months before. The Mandalorians were thrilled to count a Wookiee among their number, and none of them took it amiss when she quickly volunteered to serve as Fade for the rising Shadesworn known as Terran Koul.

Personality

This is not the Wookie Mandalorian you are looking for.
"That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that."
―Han Solo to C-3PO

Isshwarr was known for her keen wit and her love of surprises. In spite of the hardships she had faced in her life, she seldom grew angry and never lost her temper. As with many members of her species, she was quite adept at mechanical repairs and improvisation. She was also well-versed in computer systems, particularly electronic security systems. She was known to prefer skulduggery to a straight-up fight, rare for a Mandalorian. Despite that, she was fully capable of killing when she felt threatened - it just wasn't her preferred course of action.

No matter what life threw at her, nothing could keep Isshwarr down for long. Despite, or maybe because of, her many emotional traumas, very little could dampen her zeal. This was true emotionally as well as physically. While she studied Wrruushi like most Wookiees, and was a fair shot with her bowcaster, it was her stubborn refusal to give up that saw her through most confrontations.

We Finally Got Ourselves A Genius Mechanic

If it could be broken, Isshwarr could fix it. Like many Wookiees, Isshwarr possessed a natural aptitude for anything mechanical. She spent a great deal of her younger years studying mechanical and electrical systems, and those skills continued to hold her in good stead. With enough shoe string and electrical tape, Isshwarr could MacGyver together a hyperdrive engine.

Crash Override

Isshwarr was as talented at breaking computer systems as she was at fixing hardware. With a keen knowledge of electrical systems, the logical mind of an engineer, and a great deal of unethical curiosity, most run-of-the-mill software was an open book to the Wookiee. Her biggest hurdle was finding a keyboard large enough to use and sturdy enough not to break.
