Legion of Boral

Named after the moon Oriens Obscurum once called home, the Legion of Boral are members of this great House who have strived to better both themselves and their House. At the end of every month, the Quaestor and Aedile of Oriens Obscurum will adjourn for one day and mediate upon whom shall be named to this great honour. The member who has done their most of the House over the course of the month will always place itself in the minds of the Summit.

Upon being named to the Legion of Boral, the member shall be allowed to inscribe the Legion of Boral symbol onto their Lightsaber, should they have one or when they are granted the right to use one.

Also, all past and present members of the Legion of Boral shall be considered a part of the Oriens Obscurum Quaestor and Aedile's Honour Guard during any official ceremonies. At the end of every year, the member who has been granted the title of Legion of Boral the most shall be forever honoured with a token from the Summit.

Artefact of Boral

The Artefact is a rare and powerful item, handed out once a year to the member who has exemplified themselves as a personification of Oriens Obscurum.

The Artefact itself is a ring, made of metals only found in the Dajorra System. Forged in a similar fashion to synthetic lightsaber crystals, each ring is nearly indestructable.

The ring is silver in color. The metal is hot to the touch and the true bearer has it tailored to them. As stated above, the process is similar to the way the Sith make their synthetic crystals. They are fire forged, the actual metals used being known only to a select few.

The ring is made for the right hand, and contains a force power that is unknown with only the bearer being able to unlock the power in his or her darkest hours. When the time is right, the force unlocks what powers it possesses and allows the user to augment a force inside of the ring. The right hand is used for the ring and careful study is done by the Elders of Clan Arcona to make sure the power is made specifically for the individual.

The rings are hard and nearly indestructible. Only those of great power are allowed the rings, as they are a custom made design, with writing that indicates what the user has done to receive the ring. The writing is inscribed with an Arconan code, allowing only a select few to read the inscription itself.

There are some bearers that never know what the writing says, or means. As the writing is ancient and decades old, the bearers are usually unable to read the writing, unless they seek out the old prophets and learn the ancient writing.

The actual process is left as a secret, and the rings being custom made to the user's uniqueness and his or her abilities at the time. The rings grow with the user; some have seen the rings fuse to the body of the user, as their powers grow stronger. Their force capabilities will enhance the ring several times over. Removal of the ring is done at death, or when the owner is no longer been deemed a true Arconan. They are not given at random but earned over time or great achievements to the Clan. A right of passage is needed to achieve the ring from the makers, which are never allowed to leave the region of making them.

As the process takes days to create, the maker and several Elders of the Clan are present to oversee the process. Those that are to receive the ring are placed in a ritualistic trance during the process.

Once the ring is forged and the ritual is done, the ring is presented to the recipient. The ring is searing hot, and burns a scar in the skin of the bearer. This scar never leaves the body, even under surgical repairs. The ring itself will glow when called upon, yet the writings are always glowing due to the special forging process, the hatred for the galaxy and the enemies of Arcona are poured into the process.

When the bearer first takes possession of the ring, it is natural for them to slip into a coma like state as the power is absorbed into the body. When the bearer awakes he or she has no recollection of what they endured.
